Great for the price

Great for the price, and the USB adapter is included all for less than just the GoPro adapter itself if you buy the GoPro brand one.Please watch my video review and audio test

Poor low frequency performance, relatively crisp otherwise.

It’s pretty good for most applications, but I am finding that it does very poorly with very low frequency sounds. I use this primarily inside a car and the mic will cut out when I go over a hard enough bump that results in a low frequency thump, it also will cut out when I have the windows down and there is any degree of buffeting. I do not mean wind noise itself, which you can hear on the mic, but the lower frequency buffets. These also cause the mic to cut out for a brief moment. I’m not complaining about wind noise (Ive generally use a dead cat wind muffle), just the poor low frequency performance.Outside of that the mic is quite sensitive and crisp, unfortunately my sole application requires it perform better with low frequency.

Movo GM300 Lavalier Lapel Microphone Great For Go Pro

I just purchased a Go Pro 4 Silver Surf Edition and after the 1st 2 minute trial video, I had little to no sound! With the waterproof case that comes with this, the small mic on the camera is completely covered so you will have no sound. After reading up on a remedy, I saw that an external mic is recommended by other users. I reviewed several and kept coming back to this one. Just an FYI, if you purchase an external microphone make sure you have a skeleton case in order to have access to the side ports of the camera. With that said, I tried it our for the 1st time yesterday, both with and without the microphone. Without, even with the skeleton case covering the mic on the camera, there is little to no sound unless you are literally one or two inches away. I hooked up this microphone and the quality is great! Included is a battery for power (don’t remember the exact size but a general watch battery size) and On/Off switch. With the included lapel clip, I am able to attach it to the screw on the side of the housing without it getting in the way. The cord is about 9 feet long, plenty of room to maneuver around. There is also another clip, a belt clip, to keep it attached to your person or on a stick. I haven’t tried out the sensitivity but it did pick up sound from another room in my house, about 20+ feet away.This may not be the most elaborate microphone on the market but for shooting routine videos, live streaming, even catching yourself out in a boat hauling in big fish or about to drop that monster buck, I can see it doing the job. For the price of this vs. the $100 plus “pro” microphones, I am quite happy.

Awesome price, awesome quality!Tough to beat!This is said to work for almost every phoneif anyone shall want to use it as a pocket recorder,however when it comes to iPhones, it requires an adaptorthat splits Audio and Mic (into Female input and three-stripe Aux Male output,which connects to the iPhones’ separate adapter.So yeah, it uses 2 adapters because the iPhone doesn’t have an Aux input).

Good cheap mic

Great lav mic for gopro. Audio comes out nice and clear. Huge upgrade from just using the factory gopro mic. This is a personal microphone so it mostly picks up audio from the wearer only. Some ambient can be heard. Perfect for vlog type video’s. It does pick up audio from someone standing next to you, but it is definitely not as loud as if the mic were directly under you. The foam wind sock slides easily off of the microphone so be sure to purchase spares. It takes the small ¹⁄₄ foam windscreens. This is my second GM100. I am rough with my gear, and did not have this stowed properly. Ended up breaking the clip, and popping the screw on cap off. Mic still worked, but with out the clip its pretty much useless. The clip seems to be the only weak point on this entire mic. Care needs to be taken, but it should provide long term service if used properly.

Perfectly works with voice recorders, not only GoPro camseras!

I’ve bought it as lavalier mic for my Zoom H2n, and if it is also your case, know that it works perfectly with voice recorders with TRS 3,5 mm jack input (before purchase I got information from Movo itself, that it wolud not work, because it was designed for GOPRO cameras, but I decided to buy and try, and it works just perfectly) :)Mic sounds great, don’t need external power source (it is powered up from my Zoom recorder, great sensitivity, great voice characteristic, no swishing ect. Just great. For that price it is real bargain! Cable is a liitle short for lavalier (c.a. 1m) but it is not a problem in my case because I use it with voice recorder anyway.For me - 5 star product, no doubt about it.

Fantastic microphone for the price

This cheap microphone enhances the audio quality considerably on the Hero 3 plus and Hero 4. Does a decent job at removing wind noise. Very crisp and clear audio even from a distance.A video using the Hero 4 and this microphone in the comments

Very nice lappel mic w gopro adapter

I recently purchased this microphone to record engine noise under my hood for when I use my gopro hero 4. Before this microphone was purchased, I was getting sooo much wind noise from the standard gopro microphone that was built in. After the Movo mic arrived, I was able to mount my gopro on the car and do cool stuff like put the microphone inside the enigne bay to record my engine/supercharger noise or behind the car for exhaust sounds without the wind noise. The mic has a metal clip which has a nice tight grip on whatever I clamp it to. Overall I am very happy with this mic. It also came with the 3.5mm adapter to connect it to the gopro hero 4 silver. No static issues or popping noises, it worked perfectly the 1st time. I used this with the gopro skeleton case sold separately.

Purchased this for the microphone itself (not the adapter). I’ve used it on my GoPro Hero 5 Black for a motovlog setup.

alright, so i bought this mic to use with my gopro. The adapter provided does not have the resistance required for the gopro to recognize there is an external mic attached.
