Absurd, giant, poorly designed, overpriced case for a beautiful, small, elegant product.

First of all, I love the Muse headband. It’s a terrific product with great software integration. I can’t recommend it highly enough. The case, however, is a knee-jerk, poorly designed, overpriced train wreck. At $40, it’s easily 2-3x what similarly constructed cases cost. More importantly, however, it’s HUGE! I could have designed a case of the same materials, for the same cost, providing the same protection, in less than 25% of the volume. For those of us who live a portable life, the case is way too big to fit into most laptop bags. And as others noted, you have to collapse the headset back to minimal size to get it to fit. This means before every use, you have to expand it again to fit your head. I love the company and the headset, but there’s no way I could ever recommend this case.

MUSE can work very well if you practice daily… lower heart rate, stress, better sleep, etc… LOVE IT.

Expensive vs the box… but nice…. I use it if you don’t want to use the box Muse comes with and you have some extra bucks…. nice since you can throw in your iPhone earphones in with the Muse to use every night before bed… And yes Muse helps me sleep…. from 30-40 minutes with a racing mind to 5-10 minutes with Theta Sleep Waves and 80-90% calm 4 out of 5 minutes with Muse in just the first 2 weeks! Strongly recommend MUSE as you willl KNOW if you are meditating and not mind wandering with guided meditation or just focusing on your breathing where most people (unless your a Buddhist monk) mind’s wander and are NOT IN THETA brain wave state… most likely alpha, etc… as MUSE with its biofeedback EEG brain wave tech tells you when you are actually meditating, with open quiet mind with few thoughts or emotions… very powerful and you are rewiring your brain to relax… 2 weeks after I started my practice, I pretended to practice…. here the birds and focus on my breath and dropped my heart rate from 100 to 80 in 1-2 minutes - try that with a drug?! You can’t. I dropped from 150 pulse to 80 in 5 minutes with Muse and verified by nurses and doctors that wanted to send me to ICU… not once but twice!

Does its job but is too bulky

This case does its job, but it’s much bigger than necessary—an issue when packing your headband for travel. It will take up a lot of space in your luggage, and won’t fit at all in smaller backpacks. There’s enough empty space inside the case to stow the USB charging cable and an AC adapter, and still have room for a portable hard drive. The case’s bulk and smoothness also make it a little awkward to carry in hand, as there’s no strap or handle. I’ve already dropped it a few times. I would prefer a case that’s big where the electronics are, and slim where the headband itself connects the earpieces. And a handle, of course.The price of nearly $40 is high. If it hadn’t been free with a bundle deal here on Amazon, I wouldn’t have bothered to get it.

Not for everyone

You need to compact the Muse sliders maximally, or nearly so, to use it. For me, that means in and out several times each day — sure to wear out or break the head band sliders sooner. otherwise it’s a good product.

Well constructed for the muse, a must have to protect the headband, perfectly design for travel and handling on the go

Essential if you have a Muse headband

This carrying case is so essential that it should really be part of the deal when buying a Muse headband, especially if you travel regularly. It’s also great for storing the band on a daily basis.I wished this case had been part of the ‘in the box’ experience of Muse.If I’d know how much I’d like this case, or rather making my muse more portable, I’d have ordered one at the same time as the muse.
