I like it. I love it. I want…

I like it. I love it. I want some more… Okay, maybe not. I’m good with just one. But it’s super well made. It does it’s job protecting my DJI terminally and there’s room for other miscellaneous stuff like batteries, prop guards and what not. As for the size, well, I don’t consider it an issue. Do you want your $1000+ dollar drone in a backpack you can pick up like it’s nothing? I don’t. If you do, great. But it’s heavy because it will fall off your truck, take the impact and laugh. It’s a big case for a sizeable investment. The weight and dimensions are right there for you to read. If you want a smaller one, get a smaller one. Lastly, I haven’t had an issues with sticky residue, etc. Also, I bought this like everyone else. I didn’t get a discount and it damned-sure wasn’t free. I’m just a guy with expensive toys and tools that I like to keep well protected. This does that job well and I got orange because if someone is ever stupid enough to steal it, I want to be able to see them carrying my case from across a crowded parking lot. If they are carrying my large, orange case, I WILL catch them. ;)

Great case for Phantom 3 owners

I’m a big fan of Pelican brand cases, which I own 5 of, so I was a bit skeptical of buying this case. However, I must say, this case has exceeded all expectations. The outer shell is not as thick as the Pelican cases, but looks like it will still take quite a beating. The latch system is great, and guarantees the latches won’t come open if the case gets knocked around. The pre-cut foam for the DJI Phantom works very well. It holds everything I need nice and secure. The only suggestion I would make, and this applies to all cases, is do not store your Phantom in the case with the props on. The foam in the lid will push down on the props, and might cause issues over time.Bottom line, this is a great case for Phantom 3 owners.

Only case you will need for you P3

I researched a lot of products for a couple weeks before buying this one. I read many reviews on other similar type case, many of them really over priced. I was initially looking for a backpack and as I started to acquire more and more and more stuff for my P3, realized I needed more. I decided to go ahead and invest in my investment (P3 Pro) and get it a nice home and pay for it once instead of buying others and end up replacing it later for a better one. The ability to put a carrying strap on this case was the selling point among the other great features. I went directly to the manufactures website and that is when my research ended. This will be the case for your P3.P.S. I did have to modify the tablet slot to fit a iPad Air. The slot only accommodates a iPad mini. Made a couple SD Card slots in the front.

Large Case!

I bought this case for my Phantom 4 Advanced drone. I have a smaller one for my mavic as shown. As reviewers have already indicated it is big and a bit heavy once loaded with what you want to carry. Nanuk makes some of the best cases to protect your equipment and this case is no exception. 4 latches, 2 on the sides and 2 in the front secure the content and help make the case water proof.The only negative is, and this is why I gave it 4 stars is the size. It just seems the case could of been designed a little smaller. There is a lot of wasted room in the foam protection. However, you can rest assured your investment will be well protected in this case. It weighs about 6 or 7 lbs more than a case similar to it. Highly recommend it if you don’t mind the size and weight.

Protects my drone on the ground

My friend and I purchased our drones at the same time and of course decided to protect our investments. I went with the nanuk, having purchased their Ronin-M case and several others, and my buddy went with Case Club.I have no doubts about the durability or protection the Nanuk provides: I can fit 4 batteries, two chargers, triple battery plate, ipad mini, and a butt-ton of props in here. Of course the drone as well. One complaint I do have though is I originally had a droid tablet that I was using, and even though it was a 7” tablet it did not fit in the tablet slot. The iPad mini however fits like a glove.Outside of that my only other real complaint is the size and shape of the case. I would estimate my Nanuk is about 20% larger than my buddies Case club, which feels more like a traditional Pelican 1510, yet I don’t feel like I can carry any more than he can. If anything I wish the spacing on the batteries was tighter so I could fit in a fifth battery (six if you have one in the bird).

Great case, poor insert for Phantom 4

Ordered two of these cases, one for a DJI Phantom 3 and one for a DJI Phantom 4. I specifically ordered them with the appropriate inserts for each model. The exterior construction and latches are great, no complaints. The foam insert for the Phantom 3 was great with very professional, crisp cuts. The insert for the Phantom 4 was a disappointment. They took the Phantom 3 insert and tried to modify the cutouts and it was done poorly. The Phantom no longer fits snug in the insert. If you need a case for a Phantom 4, order the Phantom 3 insert and modify the slots for the batteries yourself, it will come out quite a bit better than what is sent for a Phantom 4 insert.

So I don’t write these but finding a case for the DJI Phantom 3 STANDARD (cause it’s a good price for a drone for all the features) is really freaking hard. I have purchased and returned 3 from Amazon cause the did not fit the STANDARD. They all need alteration for the remote cause you know the advanced and pro are similar in dimensions as the Phantom 4. and well it’s new and some people buy that. So this case is perfect. IF you don’t have prop guards… I know right… so sad.. But for quality Pre and Post flight I inspect the props anyway. So with no alteration it fits well. if you can and want to alter it by removing the small amount that outlines the guard about ³⁄₁₆ for the ones I have, it’s not difficult and BAM custom. but you don’t have to.
