This is a digital LED trinocular compound microscope that includes a digital imaging system. The trinocular microscopy comes with a 45° inclined 360° swiveling trinocular sliding viewing head, two pairs of widefield eyepieces, four achromatic objectives, stain-resistant double layer mechanical stage with scales, coarse & fine focusing, NA 1.25 Abbe condenser and variable intensity LED transmitted illumination system. It offers six levels of magnification power: 40X-100X-250X-400X-1000X-2500X. The 5MP (2592x1944 pixels) USB digital imaging system captures still microscope images and live video on computer. The included software compatible with Windows, and Mac OS X (see version information below). The user-friendly editing and processing software for Windows offers advanced features including stitching, EDF (Extended Depth of Focus), video recording and measurement functions. The software allows you to make notes, shapes, and watermarks with ease. You can analyze, present, and share images of samples and specimens using the software. This type of digital compound microscopy is perfect for teaching demonstration and clinical examination, laboratories and advanced applications.
I’ve been using this microscope for a few months now and am very pleased. The picture isn’t perfect and the illuminator isn’t great, but I’m able to capture quality photos with the third objective fairly easily. The build is all solid and everything works as it should. Camera was easy to set up. Only major complaint is that there is a small dark spot on the camera image.
It’s my first microscope. Apparently good building materials. Good vision with 20x eyepieces and any x objetive lens. With 25x eye lenses can be seen but the field of vision decreases. White LED light with good visibility but could lack power in certain situations. Micrometer and macrometer, good precision. The camera is the worst part of the product. Looks much better with good cell phone camera. The camera takes a long time to transmit the video so it feels like a lag. In addition poor resolution. Bad colors Poor viewing ratio on the PC screen and what you see in eyepieces. However for the price you get what you pay for.
The mechanical stage wobbled. I had to tighten the bolts from the inside of the neck. after having given an instructional page for the defect. Then when all was done, the 100 OPTICAL EYE piece and the oil immersion DONT work at all. Very frustrating. QC for his wasnt done. It left the factory without no one signing off on quality control. I hope they get some work on this operational piece, otherwise it could have been GOOD.
I’m enjoying this microscope. Just wish the camera had more fps.
The scope itself is a decent beginner. It worked like a charm right out of the box. However, my scope came with a scratch on the light source housing which shows up as a dark smudge at certain focus levels and numerous attempts to contact OMAX support have not been fruitful. The only contact I’ve had from them is several automated emails notifying me not to contact Amazon if I have an issue, which threw some red flags to be sure. I’m still enjoying my microscope so I can’t give them too much flak, but I wish that their service was a little better.
