Real headache getting this fitted to my Optoma projector.
I bought this mount along with the Optoma HD141X projector. I ordered this particular mount because it said it was for my model projector. Well, it’s not specific for my projector, it’s instead totally generic. It is no where close to a good fit for the HD141X. I had to struggle to get this thing to work, took over half hour of fiddling with the bracket arms, spacers, various screw lengths. Very frustrating at best. You would think if Optoma sells a generic mount they would design it to be a good fit for their own projectors foremost.

I used this to mount my Optomo HD142X. The mount ended up working, but as other have noted, it takes some major finesse and guesswork on your part to get it working. It took about 3 hours of tweaking and 1 run to Lowe’s to purchase actual mounting screws (it does not come with the screws to put in the ceiling).

The mount actually did the job, however the manipulation of the brackets were testy. Aligning the bracket on the mount and projector was difficult because there was not a prefect alignment. That actually may have been by design because the other mount I purchased didn’t align at all.
Works but took a while to get onto my projector
More difficult to install on my Optoma H180X projector than I expected, but it works well

Solid. Easy. Versatile.
Perfect. Came with everything you could possibly need for any projector. Setup was a snap. Instructions were relatively useless, but didn’t matter.
Excellent and good quality
This mount works well with the Optoma HD141X. It should work with many different projectors not just optoma. It has all the adjustments needed to tweak the projector image on the wall.

I tried both with and without the extension arms.
