I bought this to ceiling mount an Optoma HD20. The unit looks nice. It blends nicely and doesn’t look like a hunk of hardware hanging from the ceiling. It is a universal mount designed to work with a number of Optoma projectors. Therefore it has extra parts to configure it for different projectors. Although it is pretty easy to install the instructions are not particularly good. For example, there are two sets of attachment arms but the instruction do not say which to use for a given projector or if they are supposed to use them together. There are a number of places in the instructions like that.Likewise the mounting instructions in the HD20 manual are not that great. Basically a page of vague instructions.A few hints:The HD20’s lens is set off center from the unit. Even with the ability to adjust the mount from side to side, I didn’t trust that, if I mounted it dead center, I would be able to get the picture centered. So to get the right distance from the screen and have the lens centered, I Pu the projector on a table and aimed it at the screen. After making all adjustments and getting it perfectly aligned, I lowered a plumb bob from the ceiling to figure out where the center of the projector should be. I marked that spot and then marked the ceiling for the mounting screws. After that it was pretty easy.This is definitely a two person job. In any case I would recommend this product.

Looks great and works well

Looks great and works well. Should have been easier to install given I bought it to go with my Optima projector. Not quite what I expected. I could have purchased any universal mount for less money.
