Product Reviews

This fan is almost junk.

For such a big, loud fan, you’d like it would move some air. Unfortunately, that air movement seems to be limited to about 5 feet from the front of the fan. Beyond that, and you hardly feel anything. Yet, when the fan is running even on the lowest speed, it literally sounds like an airplane. This might be good for someone who has this massive fan right in front of their face and doesn’t mind the noise. I just wanted a low noise fan that would circulate air. Too bad this isn’t it. I think it’s because the fan blades are so poorly designed, they almost look flat, No air is going to move with a flat fan. Even my tabletop fan from years ago moves air further and more quietly. This is just utter junk and I should have returned it when I had the chance.

Cheapened

The 20” Patton fan used to be the greatest and would last for years. I ordered a new one and the pitch in the blades has been reduced making the depth of the fan smaller because (guessing) they can fit more of them in the hole of the ship coming from China. Motor must also have been cheapened as the fan has no where near the power of the older 20’ Patton Fans.

Great Fan if you love white noise to sleep like me.

I have slept with a fan all my life. My children did as well. I do not want a quiet fan. I want white noise at its best. As a result of those desires, I have to research. The reviews on this fan are right on target. I do not understand why anyone would give this jewel a bad review. It is amazing. I only need to use the low setting. The noise is perfect. Drowns out my neighbors barking dogs and the garbage truck and the doorbell. I do hope I can hear the fire alarm if the occasion appears..and we hope it does not. I sleep late so that makes me a night owl. I do not want to be bothered by unwanted noise. And…the air this fan puts out is great. The cord is longer than most and therefore I do not need an extension cord. And you only need to attach the stand with a push and a click. No tools needed. Also, the fan is easy to clean with a few levers to turn. No tiny screws to drive you crazy. And, finely…it is all metal. No plastic. If, however you like a quiet fan this would not be for you. I am so happy.

A HUGE disappointment!!! Save your money.

A HUGE disappointment!!!Suppose to have 3-speeds. One (I assume Low) is okay. Medium is NO different from Low. High is only marginally better than Low with the only a barely noticeable difference in motor sound. At this price I could buy 3-4 cheapo box fans and move more air.Save your money!

Fire Hazard; Stopped Working After 2 Months

The motor on this unit ran fine at first, but eventually it started to run hot; I’d have to turn it off every few hours and couldn’t sleep with it on (which is the exact reason why I bought this fan). Today, after about 2 months of use, the motor burnt out - it was on for only a few hours - but that was enough to burn the motor out.Honestly I consider this unit a major fire hazard. If it were to fall on it’s back against a rug or carpet then that would probably be enough to start a fire - especially if the unit was kept on in that position for multiple hours.I really hate giving products a 1 star rating, especially in this case because it was a really good fan at first. But since I consider this product the be a legitimate fire hazard I feel the 1 star review is justified, if anything just to shed some light on this issue or perhaps bring this issue to the attention of the manufacturer.Maybe I got a defective unit? I don’t know. All I know is it’s not worth the $75 I spent. I know some shop fans that run 247 for YEARS and never get hot, heck I’ve had a 20” Lasko for years and it’s never presented any problem with overheating.

Great Replacement for older Patton Fan

I had another Patton fan and it was Great. But it was LOUD. This one is a lot lighter and pretty Quiet. It moves a LOT of Air. I use it in front of my Security Door and it blow so much Air into the Bedroom 17 ft away that it keeps opening the Linen Closet door (w/o Latches). I Highly Recommend this Fan and hope it lasts as long as my older Patton (16 years). Both are made of metal so the big concern would be the Motor.

Great fan for pushing tons of air. Not a quiet house fan.

I bought this to cool off my garage at the peak of summer. I opened the side door of the garage in the early morning or late evening and turned on this fan and it would bring down the garage temp by 5 degrees in a few minutes. It worked perfectly. Some rain recently leaked through a gap under the side door of the garage and I had a mini-flood in the garage. No problem. I swept out most of the water with a push broom, and then turned this fan on. It dried the floor off in 30 minutes. I then pointed it to the other areas got wet and it dried those out too.If you want to move tons of air and get the job done with gusto, this is a great fan. If you want a quiet fan to gently circulate the air in your house, this is NOT the fan to buy. Speed 1 isn’t too bad if you are near the fan–but it would probably drown out a typical TV or radio volume. Speeds 2 and 3 produce some serious wind noise (and crazy wind), so I don’t use those too much. The fan is not perfectly balanced, so with mine there is a slight vibration, but it is not enough to make it move. The rubber feet keep the fan firmly planted. There are no rattles or other noises–just the motor and the whine of the blades along with a healthy sound of wind.I was curious about the power consumption. Mine uses about 100W on speed 1, 110W on speed 2, and about 125W on speed 3. Perfectly acceptable for me.

Awesome fan!! Love it

Works fine. I was hoping for a fan that was …

Works fine. I was hoping for a fan that was louder to block out noise.

Works Well. Not Noisy.

Bought this for the furbaby. He loves it. It stays outdoors on the covered porch and works well. Not as noisy as most people say in their reviews.

Five Stars

Very nice powerful fan. Aesthetically subtle and adjustable. Good construction.

Awesome! Needed a loud fan that also moves air because I work nights.

Seems to be a little quieter than other similar fans I have purchased.

Great way to cool down a room and get air

Pushes a ton of air! Great way to cool down a room and get air circulating

love it!

It exceeded my expectations…love it!!!

Love this fan

Love this fan, I’ve had it for a while now and it works great. After a little while the stand stopped working and the fan won’t stay tilted on its own, but it still works well…
