No need to twist my arm

After almost forty years with a razor and cream, I bought this Norelco recently to simplify left-handed shaving with a broken right arm. Part of the reason I resisted electric shavers for so long is that the one time I tried one, I had a horrible experience, like scraping my face with broken glass. I was emboldened to order this one after experimenting with my son’s electric shaver, which seemed to work fine and caused no discomfort. I am happy enough with this purchase that I expect to continue using it at least as often as not after my arm is healed. With practice it shaves almost as close and quickly as a blade, without the mess or the need to coordinate shaving and showering to ensure a moist face. The heads flex in a few more directions than my son’s low end Norelco, making shaving just a tad more convenient still than with his. I made sure when buying it that it would work directly from the power cord in a pinch; however, unlike some of my older battery powered devices, the “battery low” indicator has so far prevented the unpleasant surprise of a dead battery. The closest thing to a negative that I can find with this gadget is that cleaning it is not quite as convenient as the advertising might make you think. Yes, you can pop the head open and rinse it, but you still need to take the thing apart every few days and clean the individual pieces. Otherwise, those gunked-up innards will make shaving less effective and be no sight for the faint of heart. On the whole, however, I’m quite satisfied with this device. You wouldn’t need to twist (or break) my arm to get me to buy it again.

Excellent Product!

I always find it interesting how the reviews on products around here can be so varied. You’ll have one person who says the product is one of the best things that ever happened to them. Another person will say that they were almost attacked by the darn product and it made them bleed, and that it’s absolutely horrible!I’m a straight shooter, black and white kind of guy. I don’t have time to play games. I just want a razor that works. Last night I decided to buy a razor and wanted a razor immediately (that’s why you don’t see me as a verified purchaser here). I went to the Walmart a mile from my house. About the same price as here - $50.00. And I bought this 3100 series razor. My previous razor was a Norelco 7310XL.This razor works well. It gives you a nice clean close-cut shave without any hassle. It’s washable (not to be confused with being able to use it in the shower). And if you recharge it for several hours, you’ll be able to use it cord-less style for up to 45 minutes too.If being able to use it in the shower, and having it charge faster are higher priorities to you, for a few bucks more (less than $10 more) you can buy the 3500 series razor. Those are not high priorities to me, and so I went with the 3100.Buy new blades every 6 months (I get ‘em auto-sent to me by Amazon) and clean out your razor on a regular basis and it’ll last you for awhile!

Works for me, right price, right features

I’ve used this brand for years, and get a new one about every five years. Main thing I like about this one is it works with or without the cord plugged in. Most are either corded only (no battery), or cordless only (the battery must be charged before you can use it.)

Quality razor with great performance.

I bought this shaver to replace a similar style 10 yr old Phillips shaver. I had a great experience with the previous one (durability, closeness of shave, skin-friendliness) so was hoping for a repeat performance with some improvements. The Phillips 3100 serves as almost exact replacement, exhibiting minimal skin chafing, a relatively close shave, and long battery charge (still haven’t had to recharge). The only con is the shave isn’t any closer than my old shaver and slightly noticeably longer than a straight razor. Maybe I’m asking for too much, but I was hoping for even a slightly closer shave after 10 years of newer technology.Overall, a quality razor at a bargain price.

Great value and gets a pretty good shave.

I got this electric shaver for my boyfriend as his regular blade irritates him too much to use daily. He shaves with a regular blade every other day and has been using this shaver on the in-between days. His throat area is very sensitive and so far he has had NO ISSUES with this electric shaver. I’ve found that he gets an uneven shave when he uses the electric one, but it might just be a matter of getting used to the electric shaver over a standard razor blade. It’s not the close-shave you get with a standard blade, but it’s close enough to be soft to the touch.

Very Good Razor! (for me)

I don’t have a heavy growth of facial hair, so this razor was more than adequate for my needs even without trying it first. Having tried it once, I can find no cons in this product. It meets my needs very well and overall I am very satisfied with the purchase. Hopefully, it will last for a very long time.

I LOVE IT! I purchased this electric razor for the …

I LOVE IT! I purchased this electric razor for the primary purpose of shaving my partially bald head. After reading many reviews and comparing circular style razors to ones with back and forth motion, I selected this one and am so glad I did. One shave convinced me I had made the correct decision. It shaves my entire head very quickly and very close, almost as close as a safety razor.

Philips Norelco Electric Shaver (3100)

I bought this for a 93-year old man who has the use of only one hand. The rotary heads flip up easily and the debris can either be blown out or rinsed under a faucet – the main selling point as far as I was concerned. The user likes it and says he gets a good shave. Time will tell if it lasts.

Very comfortable and convenient

This was made by Norelco ??

Very disappointed! I’ve shaved with a Norelco Electric shaver for more than 20-30 years and have been very satisfied. This latest one cuts like a “hedge trimmer”.

Great Electric Razor

This razor shaves well, holds a charge for a long time and recharges pretty quickly. It easily out performs my three times as expensive norelco.
