So this thing is literally magic on my face and neck- it goes right through the hair and shaves very close for an electric razor. It cuts the thick neck hair as easily as it clears away the delicate hair up on my cheek bones. I’ve run it for two weeks so far shaving with it twice a day (once at night to shave the stubble, and then in the morning to shave my neck clean) and have yet to even charge it. It comes with a 1, 3, and 5 guard, my only complaint is that I really need a 2 guard. In fact, what I’d really like to see, since it’s already waterproof, is an inductive charger, a stand, and a guard kit that has tapered guards for trimming sideburns and around ears and stuff too. Along with the 2 guard I want for my face.Now. Word of warning. I can whip this thing around on my face very quickly, and there’s no hint of any irritation, much less cuts. So I got cocky and went down south with it- and cut myself twice in as many seconds. Like, bad, take your breath away, make you look away for a minute, look around the room for a couple seconds, and then breathe kind of cut myself. Twice. So there’s obviously a skin type for this cutter, and my junk is not it. Yours probably isn’t either. Get a proper body groomer, just play it safe.So if you have a face made of scrotum skin, you definitely want to steer clear of this device. Otherwise, I totally recommend it, and I hope they iterate the product line to include more accessories.
People, please “listen” (aka: read!), you are missing the point! This is NOT made to replace your traditional BLADE razor, AND it is NOT made to replace your traditional electric razor! This is a hybrid product made to solve the way most men (15 - 55?) shave and trim today. If you want baby-smooth military level shaving (any place, head to toe) this is not the product for you. If you want to fast and effectively trim down facial and body hair to “1⁄2 - 3⁄4 of the way to a 5’clock shadow” this is what this product will do.You can shave dry or wet: IMHO, for best results (and more stubble), use it DRY and slow. For a SLIGHTLY closer shave, use wet and press down harder. P.S. You CAN cut or abrade yourself. Why only four stars? Allow me to detail:1) They had an opportunity to lengthen the handle and fill it with a bigger battery - they should have.2) Should have made the blade portion either longer or for it to come in sizes/widths (huge miss).3) What’s wrong with black? (hideous colors).4) Sales and marketing idiocy: you do NOT have to replace the razor head every four months (or even at all). It will last a year-plus (longer than you will own it) - they should have turned this into an anti-establishment-cost-saving-win (think Tesla) versus an “OMG - the freakin’ blades cost how MUCH?!” barrier to entry.5) Biggest negative comes from the guides (labeled 1, 3 and 5) they are NOT bidirectional but the razor head is? These were clearly the same engineers that worked on the Mars mission, where the craft landed on the surface of Mars and grabbed the lens cap as the surface sample before blasting back to Earth. Two-way razor, with a two-way guide, would make a TON more sense!6) Unlike a regular razor, if you drop this it will more-than-likely break.
I like this little shaver a lot. It’s super effective and easy to use, and the battery lasts forever. However, the actual shaver heads are really fragile, and certainly not cheap to replace. They are supposed to last 6 months… if they don’t break first. The very first one I put on my brand new OneBlade broke at the sides on my first use. I made sure to go extra carefully with my second head, and it lasted a good while, but then broke again last week.I am not a regular shaver, maybe once every two weeks, so I expected to get more life out of the heads than advertised. The last one I had on was working great for a long time, but succumbed to weak construction on the sides of the attachment, rendering it useless. This happened on a work trip, no less, but thankfully I was only trimming various upper body hair and not trying to trim my face, that would have been a disaster to lose halfway through a shave. If Philips is reading this, I hope they will redesign the heads to be sturdier, especially since it’s going to rob me of $15 each time I need a new one.
I’ve been looking for a electric razor or razor in general that, easy to use, durable, doesn’t cause rash or ingrown hair, quick and portable! I picked this up on the whim actually while shopping and decided to try it out. It comes with one stainless Steel blade that you don’t have to change for four months, very cost effective compared to cartridges you throw out very often. Comes with a barber and you can’t use it while charging which I think helps it from lasting longer and not burning out the motor. And three adjustable trimmers to cut the right length off. You can use this in the shower thanks to its resistance to water which helps to clean it after use! I used it today before my date this morning and it cuts just as close as two, three, or even four blade razors. You shave the opposite way with this single blade razor and I was worried it would give me ingrown hair but it doesn’t actually cut close but close enough you get a very clean shave and look! Very good for maintaining a look or style. Also it suggest that you only use it for facial trimming but I even recommended it to my girl because it that good you can use it on your legs, arms, even armpits. I have pics to show how good of a cut you can get if you follow the directions on how you use this razor. It’s really help against razor burn and ingrown hair because of its design. My skin benefit from way less iration and my skin has been healing because that and my consistent use of norelco after shave. Great addition to your more traditional plug in clippers. Definianlty can replace your old razors and more cost effective. My experience with the product has been awesome!
Much more versatile than an electric shaver, although not as close a shave as a true razor. I always had a problem with the super fine hairs on my face but this one even works on…
This shaver is absolutely incredible. I wish that I would have found this sooner. I have suffered with terrible ingrown hairs along my jawline and under my chin for many years.
Great product, comfortable shave. good for travel
I like the size, but there are 3 things that I didn’t necessarily like compared to my low end Panasonic electric shaver..1.
Great product….does a surprisingly good job……would highly recommend it!
Does everything, even body hair
After my first use I love this razor, it is smooth and not rough on the skin, it doesn’t necessarily give the closest shave but it works great.
Awesome shaver, I got this for my 17 y.o. son as hr complained about regular electric shavers irritate his shin and keeps nicking himself with straight razors.
One of the best shavers I have used till date . Having no irritation on the skin is the best part of this shaver .
