Needs improvement!
Inductive charging is a convenient solution to making sure your sealed-unit appliances can keep charged while also being exposed to elements such as water. For electronic toothbrushes, other personal hygiene products, and devices which require exposure to water, this is a life saver. The only problem, is that with this charging base station, the bottom cover is not adaquately sealed to prevent an electrical short or other various device malfuncions. The result of placing it next to the sink can be devastating to its functionality. The part of this charger that is nearest to the countertop is the part that has an extreme water vulnerability. The result is that placing this next to your bathroom sink will increase its chances of becoming non-functional. Furthermore, Phillips has specifically engineered this device, as well as the toothbrushes which they charge, to be non-repairable. It’s a great toothbrush set, unfortunately on ease of access to replace the battery or repair the charging station, the only way to access either for repair is to simply break them apart; rendering them useless and potentially exposing electronics to conductive elements such as water. I’d give this charger five stars if the bottom was actually water-tight, and I’d give the toothbrush it charges ten stars if they would at least sell a replacement rechargeable battery with the correct specs to work with this toothbrush.

I was looking to buy the charger for the diamondcare toothbrush, not this plastic piece without a power cord!!! Who would play $34 for a plastic piece without a cord?! Complete waste of money.

It’s just perfect! The cup that comes with the toothbrush just sits there and collects dirty water in the bottom since I don’t you a cup to rinse my mouth.

Mine did NOT come with the charger. It’s only the base that sits atop the charger!!
Works as advertised
The charger that came with my Diamond clean toothbrush stopped working after 2 years. I bought this to replace the original charger. It’s not clear from the picture in the product description, but this item includes both the plastic stand and the charger base w/power cord.

This was an awesome purchase! This DOES come with both the charging base and a plastic toothbrush insert. Do not pay attention to those who say otherwise.
