Product Reviews

Works Well

I had a metal roof installed and it killed my phone reception. This fixed the problem! Works well. Be sure to buy the amp that broadcasts in your provider’s frequency.

For Verizon & ATT 3G [voice and text only]

It gave me 3 good bars, only got 1 or less before. Worked for my straight talk [verizon] 3G ,just for talk and rext. Also worked for a friends ATT phone. They [Verizon & ATT] both use the 850Mhz frequencies but Verizon is CDMA while ATT is GSM, so that worked out nice. It was the cheapest way to get the job done. Installation can be a challange, depending on how good a job you want to do, how well you want to conceal the wiring and the amp. I ended up putting my amp in the attic so i converted a junction box into an out let. It gets hot up there so I will have to mount it to a big heat sink to keep it from over heating, if that will even do it.Update Feb 17th; I am now getting 5 bars most of the time vs one or less. I dont know why it improved over the corse of a couple of days. It has been raining here lately and still very good signal strength. I also corrisponded with the company and ask aboug using an omni directional ant in stead of their “pannel” style. They are sending me one no charge. How is that for excelent service?

Five Stars

This one works with Verizon cell phones.

Great Value and Excellent Design

I live in a coastal area with almost no cell phone coverage. Maybe one bar outside in the yard. I bought this a week ago, and it works well. In my opinion, This is a good “value-priced” unit. First, I considered a $1,000 unit which would give better coverage of perhaps 4,500 square feet in my large home, but I didn’t want to spend the $$, and have an elaborate technical installation. A local firm gave me a bid for $ 2,100 for their unit which included installation. I bought this instead. This unit is absolutely “plug and play” and puts 3 -4 bars inside the my home covering a 750 Sq foot area. I unboxed it, laid the Yagi antenna in the attic on a cardboard box, extended the cables 30 feet away to our home office, and turned it on. That’s it. Works on Verizon text and voice with 3G. Now..a few points to consider. At this price, you get an excellent design, but you notice the coax cable is the less expensive RG 58, not more expensive “low loss” coax. Also, the coax length from the repeater to the indoor unit is rather limited. Perhaps 10 feet. So this unit has a great price, excellent design, plug and play operation, and in my opinion, scaled for smaller homes. It represents a value “break-through” at $ 100.

Good quality / does the job !!! Worth it !!! install may require some time.

Worth it !!!Improved my iPhone’s AT&T signal from zero to 3-4 dots.I needed for my basement apt that I recently moved into. I already had internet wifi setup but just needed AT&T signal, this device was a solution.Works perfect anywhere in my 2 bdrm apt (930 sqft).Cons: I wish it came with an extra TNC connector / here is why:I needed to bring the antenna’s cable inside the apt/house, etc = cable’s diameter is about 14” but the cable connector’s diameter is about 58 , so I didn’t want to drill that big hole in my building’s wall, so I decided to cut the end of antenna’s cable (RG 58/u = the one that comes from outside antenna towards the booster) . Then I drilled a hole in the plastic door frame of patio sliding door (used 14 drill bit), then brought the cable from outside antenna into the apt and had to spend some time to reconnect / re-attach TNC connector back to the cable (youtube has many videos how to do it) . About 30-40 min later I was able to do it with regular tools: knife, plyers, screwdriver.I’d recommend to buy an extra TNC connector kit off amazon / same time you place an order for this booster. This way you probably be all set in case you have to cut the cable just to get into the house. a new TNC connector is about $6-7 / that includes the shipping. It;s just simply way easier to install new connector rather than open factory crimped connector and then crimp it again / all that with regular tools. but if you don’t have an extra tnc connector - no problem - you still can use the old connector - just be ready to spend some time to re-attach it / if not sure how to - watch youtube.Pros: Does the job / improved cell phone signal reception. Price is reasonable.

Great product/fast shipping

Works great. Don’t be afraid to buy one. I can now text and call from a large portion of my home. Better than the old zero service! My home has metal in the walls…that is why I needed this repeater system. Be sure you order the correct megahertz for the tower you need to use.

This is it. We have had to walk outside every time we used the phone and this fixed that problem. Only took an hour for installation.

Works with Claro and Movistar (Colombia)

It works in Colombia for Movistar and Claro. I am in a farm where I get from 1 up to 2 bars with Movistar, with Claro no bars at all, but after installing the booster I get full signal from Movistar and 3 bars from Claro. With Claro I am able to talk and surf the net with 3G. I’m really happy with this booster kit, instalation was easy. I will post more pics and maybe a video with a review.

Did great improving strength of bars but had trouble calling out

Did great improving strength of bars but had trouble calling out. Didn’t try another to see if just one was bad.

Phonetone Cell Booster

I purchased this item about 6 months ago and my cell reception went from none in my house to good. I installed the antenna on my roof with cable leading into the house.
