Great Remote!

Great Remote ! I use it to photograph nebula with my Nikon D-5300 mounted on an equatorial telescope mount. Timer functionsare easy to set, Plug and play, compact, fits in case, A must have for slow shutter shots. Only wish receiver was a little smaller. Otherthan that, It’s well worth the price, and a handy accessory to have. Can’t go wrong with this one.

Amazing product for the price!

I was looking for an inexpensive digital camera remote to start practicing some time lapse and long exposure photography and was a little skeptical about this product based on the price. I have done a few time lapse videos and dabbled with the long exposure settings and I have to admit I am very pleased with it! The remote seems to be well built. It’s very easy to setup and use. If you are doing time lapse photography you will want a way to secure the remote to the tripod or the top of your camera unless you want to stand around holding it for a long time. I’m going to pick up a velcro strap that you would normally use for cables and secure the remote to the tripod leg during longer time lapse sequences.

not a bad shutter release for the price works great on my Nikon D800 but I wish the manufacturer would have Incorporated a hot shoe mount on the receiver instead of it just hanging off the camera by a little scraphook. item does include multiple cables for various cameras which is excellent.

Buy extra C2 batteries

Buy extra C2 batteries for the device that attaches to your camera. I used the remote once and forgot to turn off the power switch after a photo shoot. I was unable to use it again until I replace the battery. I purchased (3) C2 batteries for $10 (http://amzn.to/2shYnou). The remote worked with my nikon D3300 as advertised. If you haven’t used a wireless camera remote before, you may experience a bit of a learning curve, so practice for several shoots before an important shoot. There is a minor delay taking a photo when I use the remote but overall I think it is a good product.

Do not buy! The construction on product is extremely poor. If you’re at all serious about using products like these, spend the extra money and purchase a unit you can count on.
