6 Element Complex Crossover perfectly blends audio between the woofer and tweeter for greater accuracy
Highly acclaimed and award winning series of speakers designed by world-renowned speaker engineer Andrew Jones. The SP-C22 center channel speaker was designed to offer extraordinary performance and remarkable sound quality for music and home theater at an affordable price.
I actually purchased the Klipsch Reference R-25C Center Channel first, thinking since it was double the price and had bigger drivers, that it would be a better sounding speaker than this Pioneer. I was wrong. I ordered the entire klipsch reference set and was not happy with the harsh sound that came out of the center channel and bookshelf speakers. I thought maybe it was my amp so I purchased this Pioneer SP-C22 and tried it out. The sound was so much more pleasant coming out of this Pioneer. And I was shocked and surprised to hear that the lower tones, like male vocals, sounded so much deeper and clearer. One of the main reason for purchasing the Klipsch speakers as opposed to the Pioneers was that I thought the larger 5.5” driver would better produce the lower frequencies found in the deeper male voices. I was wrong again. This Pioneer plays loud and clean and sounds much better to me than the Klipsch.
Paired with 7 Focal (5 sib/cub and 2 XL) for a 7.1 surround system. Wanted Andrew Jones but did not have the space for the larger new company direct version, found this. Though likely not as great, it does sound really good, natural voices and plenty of full sound, efficient as well!
I purchased this for our entertainment center and paired it with a Yamaha RX-V679BL AV receiver. It sounds excellent for all purposes, whether we’re listening to music, watching TV or movies, or playing video games. Great value! Much better than the smaller center speaker it replaced. Dialog is especially improved for 5.1 channel feeds.
Bought this as a package with the rest of the speaker set. Amazing sound for the money. I paired this up with a Denon AVR-S510BT 5.2 channel 4k receiver and it’s killing it! Easily out performs similar systems at 1⁄4 of the price. If you are looking for entry level price but solid over performing sound, this is the set. Highly recommend the Andrew Jones package.
I’ve purchased this to complete my living room’s home theater experience. Paired with Pioneer VSX-42 receiver, four Jamo ceiling speakers (80 watt each) and the matching Pioneer Subwoofer.I have to say, this little monster adds a sonic depth as I’ve never heard before. For the price it is excellent, and even feels underpriced. The design is sleek and matches the look of my wooden wall.Watching movies, and listening to 5.1 CDs is really an experience with this babe. It can also handle a good amount of bass by itself. It also has bass reflex ports in the back (the holes where air comes out)I think that the best way to go would be purchasing the whole Pioneer Andrew Jones set.It is a great buy, don’t think twice.
What a great sounding speaker.. I have this connected to my Denon surround sound system and the quality is very natural. This is a heavy wooden box so that and the quality speakers inside produce a great center speaker sound. Love the affordable price… Great purchase!!.
Sounds excellent ! spent 400 bucks at best buy on a sound bar, it sounded ok took it back got this and a VSX-532 and 2 matching floor speakers could have got by with bookshelf speakers., but for a little more money I got a stereo that no sounder can compete with for the money!
Slightly overpowering for the bookshelves better, with the tower speakers, in my opinion. Very large.
Awesome center for the price!Alot of “name brand here” stuff is way overpriced for the drivers they use… fyi.
great price, high quality, love it
Purchased with other Andrew Jones speakers. Good sound. No complaints.
Provides great sound for television or audio. Easy to hook up.
I have this center channel speaker paired with the same line of tower speakers and bookshelfs for my surround and an Emotiva sub.
Tweeters are a little harsh. For $80, definitely worth it. My bookshelfs are from philharmonicaudio.
sounds great and is priced well
As a speaker, it works fantastically. If you want good sound quality, this is a great choice, but it is huge.
Sounds great. If I were an audio nut, I might be able to give better (or lower) rating, but for this guy with average hearing and audio knowledge, these speakers are just fine!
