Style:3DR Solo Prop Guards The Prop Guards for the 3DR Solo design by PolarPro are a great way to add an extra element of protection to your quad copter. The 3DR Solo Prop Guards help prevent objects from coming into contact with the blades during flight. This adds a layer of protection in event the Solo hits a wall, tree, or person. These propeller guards for the Solo will not prevent all crashes, however they are a great way to reduce the risk of severely damaging your drone. The Solo prop guards quickly slide onto each Solo arm and have a retaining clip, which locks it in place. They can be easily removed for storage by simply unclipping the retainer and sliding the guard off. The way propeller guard’s work is they prevent anything from hitting the blades during flight. The blades are inexpensive and cheap to replace, but the main problem is when you damage a blade during flight, the drone is going to come crashing down and can suffer significant damage. By using a prop guard you reduce this risk as the guard will hit the obstacle and allow the drone to maintain flight. A prop guard is also a safer way to fly the drone, protecting objects, or people from the fast moving blade. These make a great addition to any Solo Pilot’s drone setup.

LED Lights

Quick and easy install. Just plug in the connector into the accessory port on the bottom of 3DR and then affix the lights snapping them securely to the landing gear. The led fixture was designed to snap in place high on the landing gears just below the fuselage. The lights are easily visible during the day in bright Sun and during the night, ensuring situational awareness of aircraft orientation in flight at all times.

Bright and quick to install.

They’re bright, easy to install, and do exactly what they promise to do. However these don’t “clip” on so much as “squeeze” on and I can see the potential for them to fall off mid flight. Would have given them 5 stars if they were harder to remove than put on.

Perfect fit

They fit perfectly and already saved the propellers a couple of time during two not too bad crashes.

They work fine with standard propellers

They work fine with standard propellers, but since I have upgraded to the higher performance/endurance props then the props tipped on the guards.

Great lights(just should have had a Lil more thought)

They simply should have a switch installed inline (or bee adjustable from the solo app.)for when you don’t want to use lights ,but would rather not remove them.
