Easy set up
Very easy to set up and connect between battery and solar PV panel. Be sure, per instructions, to always connect the battery side FIRST or risk frying the circuit. And of course, make sure you are below 10 amps.I replaced the plugs and used different plugs that I ad, so that the battery side plugs into a connector for the battery, and the solar PV side goes through another plug to the solar PV. As my installation is on a small trailer, this makes it easy to temporarily set up the solar PV, as needed.
A good solar charger for the price.
I have no issues with the the solar charger. It works as expected. I am using the charger on two different solar panels wired together with no issues. I read the reviews about the charger being wired opposite polarity and still purchased. Many other solar chargers appear to have the same “issues” . Having worked with different older panels over the years, I have found that the “red and black ,or the green and black” (or other) configurations are not universal to denote polarity. I use a volt meter to determine the polarity from every panel. The color wiring scheme is not always what one would assume. That’s my story and the I am happy with the Potek solar charger.

It appears to work. Do have to be conscious of your wiring. Have it hook to a 50w solar panel going into a 12VDC battery installed in a trailer. Drives lights and a winch!

The REAL culprit is the cable polarity of solar panel. The solution is very simple and it works!
Many people complaint reverse polarity of the cables on the charge regulator but in fact it does NOT matter. The real culprit is the cable polarity of the solar panel.
