This is a great little charger to have for your GoPro. The battery just kind of sits in there (no snap type feeling), so it wouldn’t work well if you are driving down a bumpy road while charging the batteries - they would probably bounce out pretty easily.I have had my GoPro for about 3 years and I’ve never been able to record more than 20 minutes on a good day. I decided to buy this charger and two Anker batteries, so that I could rotate them out. This is when I discovered that the battery inside the GoPro had almost blown up! I had to use pliers to get the battery out because it had expanded so much. Luckily my device was not damaged and I was able to use the two new batteries I purchased from Amazon. I guess this is a lengthy way for me to warn people, do not charge GoPro batteries inside of the GoPro device, always use an external charger such as the one I’m reviewing here.

I’m glad I picked this charger up

I’m glad I picked this charger up. I have 2 batteries for my GoPro Hero4 Silver and keeping them charged via the camera is a pain. This charger is tiny, fits into my gear bag and it’s easy to plug it into a battery pack to charge my batteries on the go. This charger is versatile as it can also charge GoPro Hero3 batteries. The Hero3 batteries lay down in the openings to charge and the Hero4 batteries charge standing up.

One note, this charger only get my batteries to show that they will give me 30 minutes of battery time (via the GoPro battery status message on the camera LCD screen). However, when I charge batteries directly in my GoPro camera, the GoPro battery status message on the camera LCD screen tells me I have 1 hour of batter time. Not sure why this would be.

works great for a friend who has hero

Does not fit batteries from hero 4….works great for a friend who has hero 3UPDATE: While the above it true, the customer service I received shortly after posting this review is unmatched. The company contacted me via email, tried to set things straight, and sent another charger. Unfortunately, it still didn’t fit my batteries. However, unprompted, the company then gave me a refund, even though I am pretty sure I told them “no worries,” after they contacted me on several occasions. I couldn’t seem to stop them from doing the right thing. Sure enough, my $7 was refunded. Seriously, the best customer service I have ever received that I didn’t know I wanted. :)

Good charger for GoPro Camera Batteries.

Works great for charging GoPro camera batteries. Love the compact size so i can throw it in my bag while traveling. like that they include both type of USB plugs on the back for different connectors.

cheap and it works !

its cheap, it charges hero 3&4 batteries, it works… and being able to power it from any USB port makes life simple. I have a watson charger with USB port so I can charge 4 batteries ( 2 on the watson ) with only one power connector to the wall. important when traveling and limited outlets in hotel rooms
