The laptop is well built and a bit heavier than similar sized laptops. The performance is good. Internet surfing speeds are good, and 25 Gb of internal storage is enough for most people. The ability to remove the screen and use it as a tablet adds versatility to the product, which is nice. The 11” screen is nice. Sure, the resolution is a bit lower than other laptops, but it’s really not noticeable. There is a learning curve to the touchpad, however. There is no “click buttons” on the touchpad, so “touch and hold on the lower left side of the touchpad” is used in its place. Once you get used to that, it’s not much of a problem. Still, a wireless mouse might be a necessity if you can’t get used to it. The speaker is the low point of this laptop. Headphones or a bluetooth speaker would definitely help. I use headphones when videochatting. Without them, it’s hard to hear what the other person is saying. Sure, it has a couple shortcomings, but for the price, it’s a good, solid laptop. Battery life is amazing, and it’ll go four or five hours before needing a charge. Keep in mind, it’s NOT a top end laptop. But for $100.00 you get a serviceable Android laptop that also pulls double duty as a tablet. Charging is done via the included charging cable, or via micro USB. A nice touch.
aWESOME,STURDY,UNIQUE ANDROID TABLET/PC.And the price is AWESOME for the quality that you get! The pictures dont serve justice just to as sturdy, and qulity this product is…Fast!!
We bought this for our children to use for homework. It has been great. Works for everything they have needed it for. They have also enjoyed watching movies on it. Only downside is you have to use Google Docs with it, but once you get familiar with that program, it’s great.
Great little tablet for the money (bought new for $97 in early 2017).Context: I bought two of these for our kids to use (rather than have them destroy $400 iPads/galaxy tablets). Compare this product to Fire HD 8 Tablet with Alexa, 8” HD Display, 32 GB, Black - with Special Offers. The Fire boasts slightly more ram (1.5GB versus 1.0 GB), and I’m sure if I knew about processors the Fire would have a better processor, but this tablet’s party pieces are:Wins:1. Attachable keyboard: This tablet has a magnetic attaching keyboard (similar in concept to a Microsoft Surface). Keyboard performs well, and tablet seems to recognize it the instant it is attached (no waiting for Blue Tooth Pairing). Keyboard can be attached front or rear facing, and fits snug into position (though I’m sure if you tried, you could shake the tablet and keyboard apart, potentially damaging your tablet, but again, you’d have to try for that). Honestly, the keyboard is what sold me on this tablet!2. Large Display: this tablet boasts an 11.5 inch display (though the resolution is not great).3. 32 GB Storage: competitive amount of storage space for this price point4. Ports: tablet has TONS of ports: Mini HDMI, AC Power*, Micro USB, 3.5MM headphone jack, USB, Micro SD, also microphone, cameras (front and rear), and a speaker5. Features: full Android 6.0 Marshmellow OS (not a watered down Kindle OS)6. Connectivity: Blue Tooth, Wifi –nothing wanting in this department*Tablet can be charged via the Micro USB port (just like any other tablet), or the AC Power port (AC Power cord included). Not sure why RCA felt the need to include a redundant changing mechanism, but okay. I’d rather they just included USB charging, and took the $3.00 - $5.00 off the price of the tablet, as it’s just one more cord to keep track of (and honestly, we’ll probably never use them since USB cords have infested our house).Where it’s lacking:Keep in mind, this is designed to be an entry-level tablet… like for kids/tweens/teens entry level. If you are buying this for a blazing fast, visually stunning tablet experience, you will HATE this tablet. The screen resolution will not wow you (it’s not terrible, just not great). I purchased this for my young children to do homework on/watch some Netflix on. With that said:1. Clunky: the tablet has a rather thick and clunky (read: cheap) feel to it. There is no pretentiousness about it. It is not pretending to be a sleek and sexy tablet. It’s more a grown-up TI-108 Elementary Calculator (man that brings back memories of getting my friends to key in 7734 on those things back in the 3rd and 4th grades!. Despite it’s plastic feel, it does feel sturdy and solid. you can hand this off to a toddler relatively confident that at the worst it will come back with a smeared screen (but what the kid smeared on the screen can leave nightmares!)–this thing’s not military grade, but it’s no egg shell.2. Resolution: If there is a shortcoming to this tablet, it’s the resolution. I’ve struggled to find any hard figures on the screen resolution on amazon’s page. If you meander over to Wal Mart’s website (where it currently sells for $20 less than Amazon, by the way!), I was able to find the resolution listed as 1024 x 600. Compare that to the Fire HD with a 10.1-inch display’s resolution of 1280 x 800, or the iPad Air’s resolution (on a 9.7 inch display) of 2048 x 1536 –literally, double the resolution on a screen nearly 2 full inches smaller! (Granted, you’re paying roughly 5 times more for that 2x resolution and the processing power that comes with it).3. Performance: While not great, the performance is acceptable for the price. If you’re looking for blazing fast computing at this price point, you’re a few years out at least. Conclusion: great tablet and excellent value for the money. Tablet is by no means “future-proof” (there are probably apps already out there this thing would struggle with), but this thing seems to be exactly what I was looking for in a tablet for my kiddos. Well-played, RCA.
I bought this with reservations…I don’t like RCA products in general. The one I bought was blue and it’s ugly, but it actually works pretty well. I stuck a 64gb SD card in it and expanded the storage. Setup was easy and so far it’s been surprising. I like the keyboard and the multiple ports. The display is not great, but adequate. The sound isn’t great either but I use a Bluetooth speaker and that helps. I got it primarily to watch videos online and it seems to have a limited buffering capability so that’s kind of a disappointment but otherwise, it seems worth the cost….don’t expect an iPad or a higher end tablet, but for basic use, it works okay….would I recommend it? Depends on what you want to do…I wouldn’t buy this as my primary tablet, but for watching stuff online, it’s okay. It’s got a fast CPU, and comes with the typical bloatware you can remove…as another reviewer stated, you get what you pay for….but maybe a little bit more.
It’s so nice and just the right size for my needs, easy to operate, touch screen and user friendly. This trumps my PC and my Ipad.
An excellent substitute for a traditional laptop.Great for browsing, writing, streaming, all the standard stuff. The battery life isn’t bad. Four hours or so, streaming Netflix.I would recommend charging it using the included outlet charger, as opposed to the standard Android outlet that can be used as an alternative charging port. The reason for this is that the wall-charging outlet has charged the tablet much faster than the Android USB port has, from what I’ve experienced. The complaints about the resolution are ridiculous. The resolution is perfect for the size of the screen. The touchscreen is very responsive. The audio, as expected, is garbage. Typical tablet/laptop speakers.Overall, though, this tablet hasn’t disappointed me in any way whatsoever in the two months that I’ve had it. Definitely worth the price.
This is a fantastic tablet. In just a few days it has become my to-go tool for almost everything I do: daily planning, finances, email, browsing the web. It is fast, easy to set-up and use, and an amazing value.
I have had three generations of RCA tablets, this is the best. The quality over my last 11.5 inch is outstanding.
Beautiful graphics. A little heavier and a little slower than other tablets I have used, but an excellent value for the price.
Perfect for my freshman
I am very satisfied with with my Galileo Pro. I only wish that there was more information in the user manual. The computer itself meets my expectations.
This is a great tablet at a reasonable price. It does everything I need it to do. The only down side is the battery dies somewhat quickly. But overall it’s a great tablet!
Seems to be very nice. Time will tell. It is somewhat heavy and seems well-made.
Very good seller. Tablet itself way behind the competition. I would not buy it again although the large screen was nice. Screen is highly pixelated.
easy to use and understand
for the price , I love this
