I bought these balls as an experiment to see which of the ‘higher quality’ tennis balls would last the longest. I purchased them at the same time as some Penn XD ATP balls. While the bounce and longevity of these ProPenn balls were much better than generic Penn balls, they didn’t last as many games as the XD ATP balls. I kept them in my Tennis Ball Saver just like the ATP’s, but found that they would only last about 3 tennis playing sessions. They lost much of their felt, didn’t bounce as much, and we’re noticeably flat. While they are decent balls, I will continue buying Penn XD ATPs, as they gave the biggest bang for my buck. They lasted a good 8-9 games before wearing out.
The ball seems to be too hard and the rubber connecting the pieces together would give the ball a weird bounce. But overall the ball is quite durable. I won’t recommend it to the players that are looking for ultimate feel and precision, but I would recommend to recreational players that are looking for durable balls to hit with.
Although these balls will work they WERE NOT x-duty but regular.
We play occastionally, and they were (obviously) way better than the stale balls of various brands.
Great balls. I was just curious what it would be like to play with pro balls.
its very good item
comments powered by DisqusGood balls for tennis beginners - it will last you a long time (if that is what you are looking for). Not a good/appropriate choice for USTA 4.0 or higher levels of competitive tennis (including tournaments), since the bounce is irregular and the weigh/size is very different
