Product Reviews

A solid design that fit my projector perfectly and I am happy I purchased it!

I needed to install a projector onto a drop ceiling in my basement. I looked at multiple mounting systems and they were expensive, had plastic parts or just wouldn’t work with my needs. This QualGear unit looked good and I knew I could make it work so I went ahead and purchased it.I liked that the unit had some features that I appreciated:• It came with a lot of hardware so I would not have to go to the hardware store to purchase additional screws, nuts, bolts and other items. It even included spare extension arms to fit multiple projector designs. It includes spaces and washers and even large mounting screws for the mounting plate. I show these items in my video.• It is designed to be a universal mount and sure enough it worked perfectly with my projector. It is a BenQ HT3050.• The mounting unit is made of steel and it is ruggedly designed• It comes in white so it matched my ceiling and it matched my projector• It has four ways to adjust the mounting angles for the projector to make sure that it is aligned the way you need it to be.• I loved that it had a drilling templet in the box and I used it to design and build a mounting system that extended down from the basement ceiling joists to the level of the drop ceiling.• The mounting bracket is fairly priced, especially if you consider its quality and all of the supplied hardware that is supplied.Overall I am very pleased with the unit as it worked perfectly and the installation is solid. I put together a detailed video to show how the unit assembles and mounts to my projector. I also show how finding the projector’s center of gravity is important. My video shows the final installation and I think it looks very good.I rated this mount at 5 stars and I would purchase it again. I hope my video is helpful for you.

Seems to work on Epson 2040

My Epson 2040 only has three mounting holes, but I believe I was able to get a reasonable configuration using this bracket. I added photos if anyone has a 2040 and wanted to see my setup. I used two long and one short arms, and Q and R spacers under each due to the length of the screws (L). For the small arm in the back, it is completely under the bracket and the mounting screw is also through a hole on the bracket. I haven’t mounted it to the ceiling yet, but I believe this will work out fine.

Works well

Works very well for Epson 5030UB and Epson 5040UB. Includes lots of “adapters” to fit a variety of projectors. It took me a little while to figure out the right combination of adapters to use but once figured out, worked well. My only other issue is that I was expecting to be able to lock in tightly all settings (tilt, yaw, etc.) but I cannot. The projector does not move by itself but I can easily make rough adjustments even after I made everything as tight as possible. Maybe this is by design? It’s not a big deal, though.

Used with Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 1040

Of course, this mount already has a ton of great reviews which lead me to it. In the box you will find everything you need to put it together; everything comes neatly packaged in its own sealed bag, is listed on the instructions manual, and is included in a numbered diagram. It doesn’t get more straight forward than that. I am using this particular mount (QualGear PRB-717-WHT Universal Mount) with an Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 1040 which should have near identical mounting holes to the Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 2040. The metal used is stamped sheet metal averaging 16 ga. and 13 (maybe 12) ga. on the main pieces; it is sturdy and will not flex.Note: If I were to make an improvement, the (up to) four bolts used to secure the mount to the ceiling (stud) do not come with washers. The manual makes it clear that washers will not be used here, but I still prefer to use washer (they prevent the bolt head from scratching off the paint etc.). With that said, I will also note that none of the paint flaked or scratched off during the installation, kudos.Note 2: My particular package came with a “Free Gift” voucher inside. According to this, if I leave an Amazon review and follow the (included) link to input some information, they will send me a free HDMI cable. I will update this review if/when that arrives.

Stop your search!! THIS IS THE ONE!!

I purchased this mount for my BenQ HT2050, and couldn’t be happier!! Installing this mount was probably the easiest portion of my entire projector project strangely enough. The included guide to mark your holes was a huge help and definitely aided in getting the projector exactly where it needed to be. Attaching the lower piece to the projector was a breeze, and it’s nice they included various sized arms to ensure you get that perfect fit. Thanks to those arms, this could easily accommodate any projector. They give you plenty of hardware and spacers to also ensure this fits with whatever projector you have. There’s a heck of a lot of angle adjustment available to you after getting everything up on the ceiling, which is an absolute must to get that perfect image on your screen.Literally no complaints, nothing but praise, STOP YOUR SEARCH NOW!!!

Great purchase. Very happy here with our set-up! Provides a sturdy support for our projector. Can’t wait to start watching movies!

Great Price!!!

Very easy to install and comes with all required parts, I was thinking to buy Epson mount but this is compatible with EPSON 3020 Projector and saved 60 - 70 dollars

Nice universal ceiling mount…worked well with my Epson HC2045.

Has a lot of small parts so I guess it is really universal.I didn’t need to get any new screws but I did use some spacers since the screws were long.

Gets the job done the first time.

Product is really well made, quality pices and products. Instructions were a little hard to understnad, but yet it is a universal mount.
