Great for the BenQ Projector.

This thing is very very sturdy. I have many light stands and tripod stands. And this is definitely the most heavy duty one I have. I just use it to place my BenQ W1070 projector on it for watching movies. IT fits on there perfectly with some room to spare. Mine came installed with some padding which made the projector stay put nicely. This works great.

Great for MPCs or Maschine too!

I waited a while to write this review because I wanted to really put this thing through the paces. It’s been a month or so, and it’s still standing in my home music studio with some pretty expensive equipment on it. I use it as a stand for my Native Instruments Maschine MKii. For those that don’t know what Maschine is, it’s a drum pad controller that requires you to hit rubber pads for a number of musical applications (sampling or finger drumming). When I’m using Maschine on this stand I really go to town pounding out music. This stand is VERY sturdy and hasn’t even given me the feeling that it’s going to fall over.If your using this for a simple task such as sitting your laptop on it or a projector or anything like that, this thing is well worth the money and you will not be disappointed.

Perfect for working from home when tired of sitting but still need to be on the laptop

Just what I needed as I work from home and get tired of sitting all day. I got this to hold my laptop so I can stand and work periodically. It is sturdy even though I have it maxed out on height. Took less than 5 minutes to unpack and set up as it is preassembled except for the top part which even I could figure out and I am not good at these things.

Heavy duty

Very sturdy piece of equipment. I was searching for one a stand that could hold my laptop to be used as a teleprompter for video shoots and this met my expectations. This one had a ledge so it seems safer than a few other options currently being sold on amazon. It was a little tricky to assemble, not a lot of parts but the one screw you have to remove didn’t want to come out. I deducted a star for that reason. It’s very heavy and bulky so storing it and dragging it to photoshoots will be interesting.

Sturdy laptop stand perfect for photoshoots

I have been doing more fashion and product photography lately and was getting tired of trying to figure out where to put my tethered Macbook. After doing some research online and reading reviews, I settled on the Quik Lok laptop holder/stand.It arrived promptly (amazon prime) and was packaged in a simple box. It required a few minutes to assemble, but I would say that it was easy to assemble (5 minutes). My first impression was how solid and stable the Quik Lok felt. One of my initial concerns was whether or not the stand would be tippy, but that was not the case. Once assembled, I adjusted the height of the stand and placed my Macbook on the stand. I have a 13” Macbook Pro, so there is some extra space on the stand, but that is not an issue.To date, I have used it on 4 shoots. It is a little heavy, but it is a happy sacrifice considering how sturdy it is. It makes it a lot easier to show the client the photos while we are doing a shoot with my camera tethered to my Macbook. It is definitely a must. I am very happy with the stand and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something like this. I believe it can also be used as a projector stand although I haven’t tried it.

Exactly what I was looking for and needed!

I work in an office and was needing to have a laptop close by and attached to an electronic device that I use. I was concerned about the footprint of this stand, the stability of it, if it would hold my 17.3” HP laptop, and if it would raise to the level that I needed it to. It’s perfect and fits the bill 100%. I’m very pleased and relieved that I don’t have to return it and that I found what I was looking for at a great price.

Sturdy & Stable

Sturdy and works well, but only tilts way down toward the edge that has the gap. Wish it would tilt further in the other direction and had a deeper shelf (or a shelf extension) so it could also be used as a music stand (no brainer in my opinion). Use care folding it up, it ‘bit’ my finger pretty bad… don’t let your kids mess with the leg mechanism, could easily take a child’s finger. Heavier than expected and therefore very stable, but does add weight to your load-in. Attaching the tray was a bit of a hassle but you probably only need to do that once when it arrives. Typically lousy Amazon packaging, the box arrived battered.

Fantastic bang for buck

Awesome - easy to set up, sturdy, heavy enough that it won’t easily tip over. I set up a 13” MBP on this for my voiceover recording studio. Space is premium in my tiny space and this has a reasonable footprint and great build quality. I know some reviews said it was heavy or poorly built, neither of these issues are apparent to me.
