Useful adapter

The Ram Mount Double 1-inch Ball Adapter is very useful for creating a mount assembly. The connecting rod is thicker than I expected, which limits the range of adjustment, and there are machining/assembly marks on the rod, which spoil its apperance. That is why I am giving it 4 stars not 5.

Is this a real RAM product?

This looks a bit off. It does not have the “Powder Coated Marine Grade Aluminum finish” like the description states.It has more of a rough scratch finish which make me question its authenticity.

Well Built and Sturdy Part

Heavy duty and well built, the rubberized ends hold very firmly when connecting two Ram Mount arms together. I use two arms (a standard length and a long 6”) attached to a ram clamp to hold my dash cam in place, and it is rock steady.

Needed knuckle

Using on a Cessna 172 yoke, the one knuckle as pictured and recommended by RAM didn’t have adequate clearance with the 10” ipad.Adding this extra joint did the trick wonderfully. My preferred placement is still the classic over the yoke and now can see all instruments, circuit breakers, clears my lap, etc. It’s not a perfect fit for is a lot of hardware but very serviceable solid and definitely this small addition made it all possible, worthy of 5 stars.

Ram. ‘nuff said

Ram… not much to say. However, I did find myself needing to connect two extensions together, I was surprised at how tight the assembly is and how well everything holds together.

When you need it, you better have it.

Just what I needed ! Somewhere down the line, when you need to connect two arms together you will need this. I recommend getting one, or two just to have them ready ! Great product !
