it’s a great alternative to the 3M sticky mount that’ll melt off …

For the price, it’s a great alternative to the 3M sticky mount that’ll melt off after about a year. I’ve only have this mount for 1.5 months but so far, no problem at all. The only downside is the mount doesn’t exactly fit into the camera 100% to snap in. Due to the design of my car, I have to position the mount in an angle where the camera isn’t loose and falls at rough bumps. So my camera is filming at a slight tilt but it’s secured on the mount, and since this mount does put the camera a little more in your line of sight, I put it behind my rear view mirror.Now my camera is out of sight, and I don’t have to worry about it constantly falling!

Mobility is a very underrated feature.

Very convenient. I drive an 18 wheeler for around 10 hours a day. I have this mounted in the top center of my windshield. Occasionally, a particularly big grasshopper or other large bug will splat right in front of the camera. With this mount, I am able to move the camera to a clear spot on the window without having to stop, get out and clean the outside of the windshield. Much easier than with the adhesive mount.

It sucks! In a GOOD way!

So far, this mount has worked very well for me, with one exception. The cam occasionally comes loose from the T connector on the mount. While this is not a big deal, it’s something I hope the manufacturer will address.I like the adjustability of the mount and suction seems more than adequate. If this mountfailed, I’d buy another one.

Will not stay on windshield

I only have one problem with this product and that is I am having trouble getting it to stay on the windshield. For the first 2 months there was no problem at all and now it will fall within minutes of putting it back on. I bought this product with the hope that I would not have to remove it but rather leave it in the car all the time. Not sure if the heat is the problem or if there is an issue with the suction cup but either way it will not stay on the windshield. It appears that maybe the camera might be too heavy for the mount. This still is probably the best mount for this device since there is not other alternative than the sticky pad.

Love this item

Works much better than the Velcro-glue thing that initially comes with the camera. It has fallen off a few times, but that’s due to me leaving it still stuck on the windshield while my vehicle is parked outside in Georgia in the summer time.

Works like a charm!

This works great! The sticky pad eventually melted off after a hot summer here and I couldnt find anything that could hold the camera up consistently (tried various 3M products that all failed). This thing works great. Thanks!

You’re better off without it

I bought this mounting fixture for my newly-purchased Rexing dashcam with the intent to make it easier to find the ideal windshield mounting location for the camera, and to allow me to more the camera between vehicles easily. Unfortunately, this mount has only one degree of freedom in rotation and, as a result, does not allow me to put my dashcam close enough to the windshield. Because of that, windshield glare is a major issue with image capture, and severely limits the quality of the captured video. Often, the images are useless.

It adheres well and hasn’t fallen yet. It’s a lot better than some mounts in terms of durability—some of them fall off in the heat, which this one has never done.Unfortunately, the “adjustment” knob seems broken, like it has broken down a little bit within a span of 2-3 months. It will move randomly and unscrew itself. It is also VERY easy to lose that knob if you are stupid like me, so be careful while adjusting. I had to crawl around all over my car with a flashlight.
