Nice, sturdy mount for my new GoPro
Nice, sturdy mount for my new GoPro. I used it for a hike in NY at mohonk preserve (labyrinth hike for anyone who is familiar) which involves some rock scrambling and a squeeze through a tiny rock crevice. I didn’t have to worry about my camera falling off my backpack. I can’t even open the mount with one hand, so I was confident it would stay put throughout the hike and anything else I will use it for. Just as good as GoPro accessories. I will definitely buy from this company again.
Very sturdy Camera clip
This worked very well on my trip in the Baltic. It has a good grip to whatever you attach it to. The piece where the camera attaches to can be swiveled to make the camera level depending on what you attach it to. The reason for the 4 stars may seem odd when I explain it. But really the clip is ‘super’ strong and my opinion, maybe a little too strong. Maybe the spring will loosen with time and use. But right now, I either need to build up the strength in my fingers or use my entire hand to un-clip it. (I know, odd) But it will definitely hold on to whatever you attach it to, so I see the need for the strength. But in my opinion, it was just a tad bit too much. I would still buy it again if I needed to.
Recommended for low-impact activities – tolerable as backpack strap mount for motorcyclists
I actually used this to mount my SJCAM4000 to my backpack strap while riding my motorcycle. This thing held on with ease. As the clamping pressure is quite high (I really have to squeeze with one hand), it had no problem holding the weight of the camera (at a 90 degree angle from the mounting point, no less). Unfortunately, I cannot exactly recommend it for motorcycle use because it shakes too much (a helmet mount is definitely in order). But honestly, it did quite well when I rode. It held up to great wind speeds and even while I was going 50 mph into a canyon (lots of wind coming out of that canyon). So that should be a testament to how well this works. It also has a small eyelet for looping a cable for redundancy, which I definitely used. For people who backpack or any other low-impact activities, I would highly recommend this.
Great gopro clamp for the price
Item arrived later than expected twice, but did arrive. Really, like the rock solid construction of the clamp. The clamp seems to be a little hard to open.! I cant see it ever coming loose from a backpack strap or whatever you clamp it to. the clamp opens about 3/4in. The ratcheting rotation of the camera mount part itself feels solid too. l am gonna attach one of my gopro adapters to the clamp for easy change abilty between my cameras. l made the custom adapters for my use from available parts here on Amazon. l included a photo of my adapter for my phone with this clamp.Great clamp for a pov clamp or second view camera. Does show alot of movement when walking with it, but still a great buy.

I purchased this along with a new Go Pro Hero 5 for a trip to Zion National Park. The clip seemed decent and required two hands to open it. The clip worked just fine during the entire first day of hiking and for the first few hours of the second day. However, on the second day, the clip still came off during one of the water portions of the trail.Not only did this cost me the $400 I had just dropped on the GoPro Hero 5, but I also lost all of the photographs and recordings I had already taken. I would only recommend this clip for light walking and definitely not anything where you may be in water. I probably won’t buy another GoPro due to this experience.
Great product, works perfect with Hero 5 Black
This thing is rock solid. The clamp is a little hard to open as others have said, but that’s what you want! I cant see it ever coming loose from a backpack strap. The ratcheting rotation of the camera mount part itself feels solid too.Honestly the only downside is that footage isn’t fantastic mounted on your shoulder if you’re walking around, but that is not a fault of this mount at all.
Highly Recommended for Backpacking
This clip mount is great. Extremely snug and tight grip (so tight and it’s sometimes hard to get open with small lady hands). Used this on a long-distance backpacking trip to mount my Garmin Virb XE and never had a problem. I didn’t want to wear the normal, bulky chest-mount while backpacking, so I opted for this little guy so that I could clip my camera right to my backpack strapsPros: Snug/Tight - never fell or wiggled off my backpack strap. Held my (relatively) heavy Garmin camera in place without bouncing.Cons: Weak hands may have trouble squeezing the clip open.Definitely recommend for a universal GoPro/Garmin Virb camera mount.
Would Recommend
I used this to clamp my Hero 5 onto my backpack during a crowded music event, and it stayed put. I constantly swung my backpack on and off (still not recommended), forgetting that this was clipped to the strap, but it didn’t budge. The springs are super strong and it does take a little more effort to put on and remove, but that’s a good problem to have when you’re mounting a $500 action camera. 10⁄10
