Great Laptop Stand!

I’ve tried several laptop stands including K&M , Quik-Lok, Steller Labs and Pyle-Pro and this ones blows them away!First off in terms of construction and build quality this stand is top notch.It’s steel construction with a smooth black powder coated finish and has quick release heavy duty locking latches to allow quick adjustment and easy fold-up or down.A safety locking pin, tethered by a short nylon strap provides increased support and safety for heavy laptops or projectors.The laptop table measures 15.5 inches with by 11 inches deep and is large enough to hold most laptops and some protectors.The front lip of the table is ³⁄₄ inches high while the rear lip is ¹⁄₄” high, there are no lips on the side so as long as your laptop is 11 inches deep or less it will fit securely onto the table.Samson includes a silicone sticky mat which you can put down on the table to cushion your laptop if you choose but I prefer to use the table without the silicone mat.My 13” and 15” Macbook Pros have rubber feet on them and fit perfectly on the table platter.The tilt control on the table will allow you to adjust your computer to the optimum viewing angle and the locking knob tightens the platter to hold the angle adjustment securely in place.The base of this stand is a sturdy tripod with rubber feet and the stand will adjust up to 4.5 feet.I purchased this stand primarily for use in my video studio to hold my laptop teleprompter but I’ve found it useful as a portable tool stand and mobile stand for my epson projector.If your looking for a sturdy, secure laptop stand that’s well built and easy to use I highly recommend the Samson LTS50 …. it’s Fantastic!Tip: The quick lock latches on the Samson LTS50 I received didn’t hold as tightly as I liked so I had to adjust before I began using the stand.Adjusting the tightness is simple and easy, you just need a #2 Phillips screwdriver.Open the latch and inside the latching mechanism you will see a black phillips screw head, turn the screw a little bit and then test the tightness of the latch by closing it.Repeat as necessary, turning the screw a little each time till you achieve the desired tightness. Be careful not to over tighten the screw.

Good sturdy stand. Just not tall quite tall enough for me at 6’3”. Also wish there was a dedicated keyboard tray option.

Not much to say really. It’s a well made, sturdy, easy to put together stand for laptop use, music tablature, or whatever. My only concern now is trying to find ways to keep my cats from thinking this is a landing pad.While I would recommend this stand, I do have 3 complaints. The first is the strong odor that leeches off of the silicone surface. It took about a week for this to dissipate. Any strong odor like that means that chemicals are leaching into the air.The second complaint is something I was aware of when purchasing, but it’s that the stand doesn’t go tall enough for people like myself at around 6’3”. This causes poor posture. I’m not sure why they couldn’t make it a couple inches taller in height.The third criticism is that the stand should have a dedicated keyboard tray option for better ergonomics. It’s best to have elbows at around 90 degrees, yet doing so, means the laptop screen is too low.So in summary… it needs to be taller, and it needs a keyboard tray attachment option (which would be very easy to add).

Very Solid! Highly Recommended

I needed a stand to hold my laptop while I do tethered photography jobs. Tethering means that I have my camera connected to my laptop and the photos are downloaded to my computer and displayed on the screen as I take them.This stand is much sturdier than I expected, easily holds my 13” MacBook Pro. I added a few extra accessories: a shelf which I use to hold an external hard drive and the headphone hanger which I use to hold a coiled up tethering cable when not in use.

Solid Stand At A Reasonable Price

This is a very solid stand, and much better quality than I expected. The legs open wide enough to give it stability and it’s pretty adjustable. Also comes with a non-slip pad that really holds the computer to the stand. My only concern with the pad is that it might block off air. Not sure about that yet and will investigate some more. If it looks like it does, I might cut it in pieces that would allow for more free air flow. Overall, a good deal for the money.

I have had several laptop stands and this is most well made one yet. I do recommend though NOT using the sticky mat for the top. Upon removing laptop, the battery cover broke off- sticking to mat. I chunked it and use non-skid shelving cloth from walmart. Mobile clamps on this portable stand are great! Other models use screw type which easily strip out after little time. Very compact when broke down for travel. I have confidence this one will last! Highly recommend this product!!

handy item

Had a laptop taking up space on my desk, so I bought this to go next to the desk. It holds the laptop just fine. The table top is lipped so the laptop can’t slide off (it came with a friction mat too). I have it at it’s lowest position and it does wiggle a little, but I have no concern about the stability. It would probably wiggle a little more fully extended, but I still would not be concerned (like it’s going to tip over).

Durable, excellent quality and value!

Very durable and quality laptop stand. I now use this for tether shooting to hold my laptop. The stand is heavy but I find this preferable because I don’t want the stand tipping over. Also included is a soft sticky mat for the stand platform to keep laptop from sliding off. Great stand and value. This is well worth the price.At first, I was a little disappointed the estimated shipping was projected to take nearly two months but was then surprised to get it delivered in just two weeks. Very nice service!
