Great TV, weird choices in external wiring

Absolutely beautiful picture and great TV. Love the ultra thin profile and the almost invisible bezel maximizing screen in no wasted space.Only knock against this is the weird external wiring from Samsung. Instead of plugging your HDMIs into the TV, they’ve moved to the “One Connect”, a proprietary signal cable and hub. So you get an extra device hub you plug all your HDMI/etc into, and that sits with your other multimedia components. It connects to the TV via a generous 6’ (I believe) length cord, but again with their proprietary connectors. Bizarrely, this proprietary connector doesn’t include power, so you have a second wire coming down out of your tv for your power, with what seems like standard connectors. I have no clue why they went to the trouble to have a special cord and didn’t just include the power in it. They should have called it the “Two Connect”, since you have two cords, not one.Anyway, strangest of all… Samsung made these two wires (the proprietary One Connect and the power cord) LIGHT GRAY in color. I was literally shocked to discover this. Here’s this expensive, fancy, ultra-thin TV (perfect for low-profile wall mounting) with black bezel and backing… and GRAY cords that stand out like a sore thumb. I guess maybe so they blend better with a (gray) wall, if you were so inclined as to just run them down the wall exposed instead of hiding them in-wall or inside a conduit? Crazy choice on Samsung’s part. But overall, just a cosmetic nitpick.Great TV otherwise.

Best Value in TV

Fourth Samsung tv. Like it all: clarity, interface, form/fit/function, etc.Love it

Awesome

Great tv! Sharp picture. Universal remote works well.

This 65-inch television is very nice, but with one significant flaw

The UN65MU9000, 65-inch television is fantastic, and it comes with one significant flaw: No HDMI ports on the television itself. Samsung instead requires the use of a separate, proprietary “connector” box (about the size of a VHS tape) that houses 4 HDMI ports, two USB ports, an optical digital outlet and a 75 Ohm threaded connector. This “connector” box actually connects to the television via Samsung’s proprietary cable, of which is not long enough to run through the inside of walls, and the connector’s harness on each end is much, much wider than that of an HDMI cable, adding another physical limitation to in-wall installations (in addition to the fact that I very much doubt that the cable is rated for in-wall installations). I am truly stunned by Samsung’s asinine decision to engineer this kind of connectivity for its televisions.I had purchased this item from World Wide Stereo, and the entire purchase experience with this seller was absolutely great. Unfortunately, it seems that one of Samsung’s product design teams needs a psychological evaluation.

Apple TV and Blue-Ray plays work fine with the Samsung remote

Just bought this TV and I can’t give it 5 stars because of the Samsung one connect box and issues with audio volume and home theater control. I have the Sonos Playbar with this TV. Proper setup took some figuring out but you can assign the Sonos as the home theater system connected via the Toshlink cable to the one connect box.Two outstanding others should be aware of:1. If you use the FireTV you will not be able to use the Samsung remote to control the volume of the Sonos Playbar. Apple TV and Blue-Ray plays work fine with the Samsung remote. So now I have 2 choices: 1 - ditch the Samsung remote and buy a smart remote like a Logitec or 2 - use a tablet or phone to control the Sonos Playbar volume via the app.2. Not sure if it is a Samsung issue or Sonos issue but the volume output to the Sonos Playbar is very low. Have to max out the volume to get acceptable listening level. Didn’t have this issue with my older Samsung TV (didn’t have Samsung One Connect box). Based on all the other reported issues with the One Connect box, I suspect it is a Samsung issue.

Worth every penny!

I have been researching all the different 75” UHD TV’s for some time now and finally decided on the Samsung 75MU9000. Everything I expected and more. Can’t complain about the picture quality especially since its a UHD TV with all the best dimming features. What made me decide on this Samsung vs a LG and Sony, was how bright and sharp the picture was at all light levels (my living room has a lot of windows and lets in a lot of natural light). The UI and remote, are simple and intuitive. The quad-core processor makes navigating the UI fast with no lag. The 1 connect box, aluminum bezel, and 360 designed back, all comes together perfectly to make this TV a clean and premium looking TV.FYI, I left the plastic on the bezel which explains why the “Samsung” on the 2nd image looks slightly blurry.I highly recommend.

This is great great buy for the money.

This TV was a great buy for the money. I got it on prime day for just under $3000. Woohoo! But its still a great TV for the regular price. The only reason I am giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because my friend got the Samsung QLED TV. I have TV envy. The QLED it is truly the best picture quality I have ever seen BUT it’s significantly more expensive ($9000). This will work fine. Love that its super easy to change the settings like the picture mode (Dynamic, Standard, Movie). Very impressed by the back of this TV and the Samsung One Connect. All the wires connect to a box so everything is nice and neat. The remote is awesome. It controls everything! Super easy to use AND it works with voice commands!

A solid performing TV at a great price

I purchased this TV to upgrade from my Samsung PN64D8000 plasma and was apprehensive at first going from a Plasma to a LED/LCD TV. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the black levels with some proper tweaking. I have never seen an LED/LCD TV with black levels this nice EVER and am happy I did not pony up for the LG OLED. A good friend of mine has a OLED55B6P and I will say that while the blacks are very impressive, the color representation and sharpness is not up to par with my Samsung unit in my opinion.

Great TV

Got this TV as a pretty sizable upgrade from our previous 50” samsung TV. It is amazing. The picture is so crisp and clear. Sports and video games look fantastic .

Excellent Television with two small design issues

Almost purchased a smaller, lower resolution TV. Recalling that I tend to keep a TV for at least five years, I realized it was a very small extravagance when spread over that…

good product

Extremely crisp, clear screen.

Five Stars

Great picture, as expected from Samsung.

Very Happy

GREAT TV overall! We had not purchased a large TV like this one before, so we were diligent in looking for the right one.

Great TV no complaints so far

Great TV no complaints so far. I have it now for 1 month.

Great TV

I have owned multiple Samsung TVs and have never been disappointed, the MU9000 is no exception. I upgraded from an older model and have been very happy with my decision.

Run do not walk away from all Samsung

Would never buy Samsung again. Picked a MU9000 has some issues, service refuses to handle it and suggested I need to write an email, that was 41 days ago still waiting for an…

Beautiful picture, great set up procedure

Amazing picture and sound quality. Set up was well put together. Easy connections without any crazy questionable directions. Was set up and live in a few minutes.

Stunning picture!

Gorgeous picture! Samsung is my go-to company for TVs and this one does not disappoint. Love it. Set up was easy and it looks good even when it’s off! LOL!
