If you’re looking for a compact USB-C drive to store small files on then this little Samsung drive is the one to get. The drive consistently averages 143.4 MB/s reads and 33.7 MB/s writes, which isn’t bad at all for it being a slash drive. However, If you’re looking for something to move and read larger files like ISO images or virtual machine backups, then I suggest you look at Samsung’s T3/T5 SSD line of drives. I’ve decided to use this drive for stuff like application backup and configuration files and my Samsung T3 for everything else. Hope this helps!

Good drive but can be redesigned to be frienly

This is a very small small flash drive and I do hope people research into it and not complain. I already knew how small it would be and honestly I love how small they are as it can be stored on my keychain and not take up much space, I have several of these small types of flash drives. In terms of performance it is quite good, also this drive does not suffer from heating issues like most small drives and feels quite solidly built. Some complaints I have about this drive is that it is not case friendly and will most likely have to take some cases off in order to use this on a phone especially the Note 8 with a Incipio dual pro case. Another thing is, they could have included a small lanyard for the price I paid for on a 128GB drive.. No worries I got spare but I really do hope they think it over or just go with a slide out type of drive.Overall I like the look and feel of the drive as well as the performance but if you’re going to use this for mostly phones do note you’ll most likely have to take cases on and off so look for something else I would say but I use this for my PC and phone and I got a extension cored so it won’t bother me much unless I plan on traveling and need to plug this into my phone a lot. I’ll give this a 3 star

The next stage in speed

First note this is Type C / USB 3.1 connector.This is NOT backwards compatible with USB 2.0 or 3.0. Completely different connector than previous technology.+ Tiny drive. Easy to take with you.– Tiny drive. Easy to lose.+ There are holes (one on the drive and one on the cap) for a lanyard or similar type strap– No such strap or lanyard loop comes with it. If they had provided one, it would make it a lot easier not to lose this tiny thing.+ Love the metallic blue color!+ I’m getting between 120 to 135 MB/s.Realize speed is equally dependent also on your device’s controller, not just this USB drive. Still much faster than my USB3.0 which was giving me between 75 to 80 MB/s.+ Love that it is 64GB. I use it everyday and have a long ways to go to fill it up. Perfect when I’m traveling for work and can throw on hours and hours of music, movies, and TV shows and still have room to spare.+ Even the casing is beveled for easier gripping. You cannot see that in the pics but it’s there, which is a nice added bonus.+ Cost of $26 (at the time of this writing) for a 64GB new technology is a fair price to me.OVERALL: Does what it claims to do and works great. Only suggestion for improvement is to provide a way not to lose it so easily.

Well built and very compatible

Excellent build quality and very compact design. I am able to use this flash drive to easily transfer files between my Samsung Galaxy S8 phone (Android), Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 tablet (Android) and Samsung Galaxy Book PC (Windows 10).

Small and fast at a price not much more than Type-A USB flash drives

When it comes to flash memory products, Samsung is king. I’ve repeatedly been impressed with their products for their performance and value in the past several years. I’ve recently begun buying more of their USB flash drives as well and this USB Type-C drive is my very first USB Type-C flash drive. Starting with performance, I got sequential read/write rates of 146MB/s read and 101MB/s write. I’ve uploaded the CrystalDiskMark screenshot as reference.Physically, the drive is tiny. The plastic body is a little bit slick, but not too bad. The cap slides on tight, but is easy to remove. The plug is USB Type-C, not the more common Type-A. One of the great benefits of Type-C is that you can insert it in either direction. No more trying to plug it in, then having to flip it around to the other side.The Samsung USB Type-C flash drive is a great drive and doesn’t cost a lot more than the Type-A drives.

I am very happy with the speed

I am very happy with the speed, I am just disappointed with the lack of a lanyard for key r ing or even to not lose the cap. The holes are there but you have to bring your own.

Fast storage in a compact package!

All of my computers now have USB C ports, so I decided it was time to pick up some USB C storage (instead of using adapters).

Bought two don’t work. 1st time used past 30days return. Note 8 or S8 won’t recognize, also laptop won’t recognize trough adapter.

Good flash drive but cannot be used with usb a interface

This is a fast usb c thumb drive but it lacks the ability to connect to laptops and computers without usb c port. I recently bought a product which solved this issue.
