Since my purchase of my Samsung UN65JS8500 65-Inch 4K Ultra SUHD 3D Smart LED TV from December of 2015, I was putting off buying a True 4K Player as the content was not that readily available a year ago. I have a Samsung Up-Scaling Blu Ray Player w/3D capabilities (This is important to me as I have many 3D movies) I was waiting for the price to come down & boy does this thing produce a Beautiful 4K Picture!!I got into the 3D thing from my 2011 Purchase of a SAMSUNG PN51D6500 51-Inch 1080p 600Hz 3D Plasma HDTV. I still love that TV that is now in my bedroom, but the difference of 3D 1080p to Upscaled 3D near 4K is such a huge difference in just depth/immersiveness is so much more appreciated. You can find a few short videos in True 4K 3D on YouTube that is just mind blowing!!I also just purchased my 4K AV Receiver with 7.2 Surround Sound & the speakers to go with it including my 2 new Subs, I’m like a kid on Christmas Day with all my new toys!!The reason for only 4 stars is because even though the unit looks pretty good, it does have some slightly cheap details & the remote is very ugly & looks like a toy. But For paying less than half the price for a Refurb (I Love my Refurb products when possible) you can’t go wrong with this Huge upgrade. Unit looks & functions like a Brand New Player!!I Highly Recommend This Player, Especially at This Price!!

Amazing!

This is an amazing 4-K Blu-ray player with built in Internet streaming and the picture quality is incredibly Vivid!! Even NON-4K Blu-ray movies and DVDs are upscaled to near 4K quality with an incredible Vivid picture. The internet streaming capabilities such as Netflix are also upscaled to 4-K viewing and I absolutely love this product!! The ONLY downside I seem to have with this is every time I turn on the player I have to keep connecting to WiFi when using the internet streaming but I simply just plugged in the Ethernet cable into the back of it and don’t have to worry about that anymore.. I absolutely love it! This is a true 4K Blu-ray player and upscaler for everything else

Only missing distinct “on” and “off” IR codes and front displays, but otherwise a pretty good QHD BD player.

Would buy again

Almost everything I expected. I bought a refurbished unit, so the ROI is definitely there for me. I would definitely recommend this unit. I do not have a 3D television so I cannot speak to that aspect. Currently connected to Samsung UHD television and Bose sound touch 300 with sub, so I can say the audio is there.

Great addition to our family room

we have a 4K resolution TV and this works exactly as expected. The upscaling from a blu-ray is fantastic. the playing of a 4K disc is even more distinctive.
