Product Reviews

Makes new camera even faster.

I did a review on how much faster than card makes my camera write after taking a photograph, which means I can take them faster in succession now, than I have ever done before. Well, I have a new camera FZ-80 (which is great), but noticed that even though it would takes photos faster than the FZ-70, there was a noticeable lag time before I could take the next photo. So I am ordering another one of these cards, for the new camera as well.If you are somewhere where you need to take a series of photos quickly, like trying to catch a setting sun, this card will make a difference

The Ultimate Line of SD Cards for maximum performance

The ultimate in SD cards of not only Sandisk but above all other companies when it comes to UHS-I (and UHS-II for the UHS-II version of this). Time and time again I have relied on Sandisk to record my images and video for personal, paid, professional, etc. events where I need reliability and I don’t think I’ve had a Sandisk memory card ever fail on me save for one non-Extreme model that was very old and in a newer camera. Its speeds are superb and they match what they advertise. I really can not recommend this brand and this line of memory cards enough. They last too. I have several older Extreme Pro’s that function just as well today as ever with no reduction in reading and write speed despite being used for applications with constant read and write and constant formatting. I have used these cards to shoot both RAW stills and video, the latter of which is a VERY stressful and demanding task for a camera to ask for a memory card, the memory card must maintain a truly stable and constant write speed and Sandisk does where other brands do not. I have used other brands and yes they work but for shooting high speed, high megapixel stills cameras or shooting 4K video or RAW video I will use Sandisk whenever possible. They continue to exceed my expectations and you truly get what you pay for and then some more. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. I use these cards daily and have for a while.

Great for the Camera! Speeds up shooting time.

Great for the camera. The 10 rating on this card really sped up the time it takes the images to load to card when you take a photo. So I don’t wait as long between chances to shoot again. Also the card reads faster when reading with the computer later. Both a really big help. (Note if you have an older windows computer they usually won’t run a card larger than 32 GB. It’s a really dumb windows glitch.) I use these now for back up storage instead of spare harddrives. Much easier to use and buy and store if you don’t misplace them though. I was running cards rated as 4 before. Again a big help with how fast I can take the next photo. Which makes a difference when a 100 year old schooner is sailing past on midcoast Maine.

Very meh

Only thing “Extreme” is its lack of performance. Maybe I got a dud? Read rates have never hit 95 MB/s. I have a Core i5 with 32 GB DDR4 RAM and a Samsung Evo 850 m2 drive. Card is read from a USB 3.0 reader. Final point of frustration was the card had a read error on a photo shoot today. It’s had read errors intermittently when transferring files to my PC, but this is clearly a different scenario. Thankfully, after turning the camera on and off (it was stuck on the read error screen for a while), it worked for the rest of the shoot. Suffice it to say that this is my first bad experience with an SD card…ever. I guess I’ve been lucky? Returning the card this week.

When it is good, it is very good.

When I first shot video on my Sony Handycam FDr-ax53 using two of these 64GB memory cards to shoot soccer games it was excellent, but after using them a dozen times or so, transferring the video to DVDs and then deleting the video, I would shoot new video, but the newer videos have sections that are lagging and jumpy and really take a lot away from watching the games. San Disk has always been my go to brand, but I am a little disappointed because I am trying to archive videos for my grandchildren to watch when they are adults and I need consistent high quality video to start and finish with.

No Dice in the BMPCC

Returning this. It doesn’t format in a BMPCC. I have no idea why! But it formats in my Canon DSLR, and in my Mackbook Pro. But I can’t record anything on the camera that I bought it for. Seems like it was brand new in box when I got it but I can’t figure out why it won’t work. So I’m sending it back.

50% Dead-on-arrival

I bought 2 of these 128GB cards from Focus Camera. One is recognized by my camera and my computer. The second one is not seen by either the camera or the computer. The camera says “No SD Card”. The computer says to “insert a disk.”. I am afraid to trust the one that appears to work with any important photos for fear that it will also suddenly stop working. Returned for a refund.

Work well, quickly, reliably

These are my favorite SD cards, and they work quickly and haven’t failed yet on a wedding day. Though, a 16GB card I have is beginning to have some issues after 3 or 4 years of constant use. Sometimes, that one isn’t read by my computer, and sometimes won’t allow itself to be read, even when it has files on it. But, they’re the best SD cards I’ve found, and worth the investment in my opinion.

Fits My Needs Perfectly

This was recommended to me for capturing my son’s soccer photos. I had a 16 GB card before, but wanted to try capturing photos in raw format and the smaller card was not enough…

Five Stars

Works

Great addition to my tablet

This unit gives my tablet extra space and was very easy to install. Adding files and documents is quick and retrieval is fast.

Great storage for DSLR.

Clicking photos on Canon 700D RAW images gets upto 950 of them. Maybe 18mb each. Transfers like breeze.

Arrived Defective

Item arrived defective, will not seat into my camera slot, just falls out. All my other cards seat fine, so its not my Nikon.

Super fast card!

Great card, shop the price.

Found better prices elsewhere after purchasing so one star off. Worth the general price to be able to store multiple game films on one SD card prior to transferring to Computer.
