Use these heavy-duty, convenient lanyards to secure your Dry Doc to packs, jackets, waist belts or other items to help ensure you’ll never lose your phone or camera. These convenient tethers can be used for a variety of other uses too: keys, flashlights, fishing licenses, walkie-talkies or medicine containers. Includes: 4 tethers included in 2 sizes: 2.75in./70mm (15in. stretched) & 5.5in./140mm (30in. stretched).
I didn’t purchase these for a specific use. I just thought they might be handy to have around. I would feel fine using them for securing lightweight, inexpensive items. All plastic and vinyl. I would not call them heavy duty myself. The coil is actually smaller in diameter than those wrist-wearable key fobs that most people are familiar with. It is exactly 3⁄8” in diameter. The connectors are stiff black plastic. Anything of any weight like a cell phone would likely stretch the coil to its limit if hung free. These observations, however, were not unexpected and I am happy with the purchase.
Nice little lanyards but not super confident in the plastic clips. I like the smaller size of these coils but I wouldn’t trust something vital, like keys, to them.
Why: I was looking for a tether that I could use to safely hook on my GoPro.Pros: For the price you can’t beat it. It does the job and adds color.Cons: The hook is solid plastic and can snap if too much pressure is added.Verdict: I recommend it for items that are not going to have impact or extreme movement. For stationary items or to be used for a catch all, just in case- its works fine.
The coils do work, but the clip is very hard to attach/detach. I purchased these for scuba diving (a security feature for dive knives). I used them a few times and they worked excellent for intended usage. However, getting them off with gloves on is not an easy task…actually near impossible. After many colorful metaphors, I found another solution. I still have them, but not in use at this time. If the clip portion was easier to detach, I would still be using these coils.
I bought these for scuba diving, specifically to secure a writing tablet. Using one it works well. If you needed something longer you can put two together. The long one extends to a little more than two feet. I shopped around for a long time for something that was reasonably priced and these were the only ones I could find that weren’t too expensive. They seem well made, but I haven’t had them long enough to know how reliable they are.
Used to keep all my small items attached to kayak works great and allot cheaper than other options will buy more
I have yet to actually use these but they appear to be what I’m looking for to simply attach fishing tools while out kayak fishing in case it were to flip over. The loops on the end are secured by burning the plastic onto itself. I would not trust anything of weight or value with these but for some pliers and a bait knife I think they’ll work great.
I really like these. I use one to hold my house key in my bag so I can get to it quick. I attached it to the inside zipper. I like them more than the other types because they’re light.
Nice!
Works Great on my fishing vest
Gift
Works well, but a little too small
The plastic ends are chintzy and very difficult to open. They’re a real waste of money.
Great set of tethers for a low price. I use it to attach various fishing gear to my surf belt. Can’t go wrong.
I use it to tether my fishing tools like hook remover and nail clipper. they will last long enough before wear and tear hits. I like it.
