Note: These bits are good quality but too tiny, specially for size of 0.3mm 0.4mm 0.5mm, it is very fragile for handling, so please be careful and take good control of your CNC speed.
arrived pre-eta, great! packaged a lil better than identical products ordered elsewhere, has foam to protect cutting tips, though this has no significance during shipping in my experience, more for dropping on concrete garage floors maybe. which i did once, with another set, broke most of the tips while in the opened case.these seem pretty standard in quality, labels look faded possibly indicating previous use, i use for machining wax so not much to say on durability across materials. But, they are rather fragile, most things under a mm in diameter would be.
Run out on the set I received was horrid and by so much that it’s noticeable when in the spindle and turning by hand. Drilled a few holes in some FP4 just to test how bad the run out was and holes measured roughly 75% oversize as a result and immediately went back to my name brand bits. If you’re frequently breaking bits, poor run out may be the culprit.Additional notes:These bits are intended for extremely high rpm’s which is also very dependent on material being drilled. For example, layered circuit board type material would be in the range of 60-70k rpm for the .3mm down to 30-35k for the 1.2mm. Too low of rpm will result in poor cutting, excess heating of the bit and premature breakage. If you can’t spin these fast enough, an alternative would be high speed steel bits (shorter life but not nearly as brittle).
used this to drill small holes in spring steel. This is normally a difficult material to drill. These went through like it was drilling plastic.
The 0.3 end mill broke against my pinkie while installing it in my CNC spindle collet. I barely touched it. The 0.4 end mill broke when it first touched the material to engrave (silver). I bought another brand’s 0.3 ball nose bit on Amazon and it works great at the same CNC speed and feed settings. 2 stars given since I haven’t tried the wider dimension bits. I probably won’t use them unless truly desperate for bits.
Excellent product. Fits my Dremel perfectly and are well-made. Exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended.
I use these for jewelry making and they go well with my Dremel tool. Perfect for drilling small holes into metal, glass, or shells.
Worked for drilling out through holes, but two of the bits broke with little effort. For the price im not to worried about it though.
They break easy so take your time and be very smooth.
This was honestly one off the worst products I used. With light usage the tips broke off completely and the plastic rings fell of.
Sizes are not clearly marked.
Good carbide PCB drill bits but you should use it in CNC machines. No way it can be used in a hand tool such Dremel. Maybe only 1.2mm
The metal is the Chinese metal and very weak metal. Has absolutely no strength to the metal. I kid you not, DON’T BUY.
These bits are trash. They looked used. All the lettering to even determine what size they are were rubbed off doesn’t matter what speed and depth rate I used they would break.
They work geat.
great product. I love the size, reinforced body.
Break easily.
I am so excited about these. I am a metal smith jeweler and these are going to work great for making small detail or to start holes for saw piercing
