It’s ok… but nt great.

It does work as a selfie stick for the GoPro… however, it is a bit flimsy and can wiggle somewhat. Also, I don’t really like that it doesn’t have a solid locking mechanism. You can have it extended… and wave it over your head… it may or may not collapse back down. Other units have a twist-to-lock feature… this one did not.

Perfect accessory for using GoPro underwater.

Works very well for holding the GoPro. I’ve used it on a number of dives now, and it is great for getting close up to otherwise shy or prickly subjects that might not like a diver so close to them. Very light weight. The mount is a GoPro mount that is permanently attached, so you can’t use this for a regular camera screw mount.

Good purchase for snow boarding.

Nice stick for the money. When you twist to lock it, sometimes it is difficult to untwist and compress. The pivoting of the camera works further in one direction than the other, so I had to flip the camera around when on the slopes, but that solved the issue I had with the angle of the video shot. Also, it would be nice if it compressed to a smaller size (I think they make a smaller one) as this one is too large to fit in my ski coat pockets, which made it more difficult to carry than I would like. But for other uses that is a non-issue. All in all, for the money this was a good purchase.

not very durable

The loop at the end broke while I was swimming in the coral reefs in Hawaii.. I thought I was going to lose my GoPro. The stick itself is made of plastic, so not much to expect durability-wise. As I’ve said, I used this in ocean water, and it eventually rusted after 3 uses. Perhaps I should have rinsed the locking clip at the top a little better, but it rusted out too quickly. It would be nice if only the top clip-lock section could be replaced but its part of the top stick section. For the price, I can’t complain too much though. As long as you don’t get it wet, it should work well. It extends 36 inches. Worth the purchase if you just need an extension and aren’t looking to spend too much.

It has a nice rubber grip

I just got back from my trip using this mounted to my gopro. It has a nice rubber grip, and it was small enough to fit into my jacket pocket. It’s hard to expand the last section of the pole, but luckily I didn’t need that often. It was a wiggling struggle to get the last segment released, but other than that I had no problem with it.I like the built on mount that came with the little piece to secure the go pro on top. Overall, I would recommend this with the minor flaw of the sticky segment.

Easy and comfortable to use anywhere!

The Shineda handheld monopod is perfect for run and gun on the go filming. It extends to a pretty far length to give you a versatile shot. I use this when I go to festivals so I can capture something from far even when there are people standing in front of me. It comes is made for the go pro or any other action cameras you may have. I use this with my Gitup Git2, Ultra 4K, and my ASX cube action camera, and it does work extremely well. It has a nice soft grip so it makes it easy and comfortable to carry around, it also is very light weight so you can use this all day with your action camera attached and your arms wont get tired or your hands wont start to hurt. The lanyard is great to wrap around your wrist for better protection and once you have that on you know your action camera is not going anywhere.

Gets stuck. Won’t retract or extend.

This worked well for the first couple weeks, but now has trouble opening and closing. It no longer retracts or extends completely. It’s winter, so it wasn’t dirt or sand. Whatever the case, I’m already looking at replacing it. There are a lot of options out there, and I’d recommend looking for something else.

This is perfect for a go pro hero 4. To the comments i read that were concerning, let me explain this product and how awesome it is.First it is very durable and heavy. You have multi level locking so you can extend it to different lengths and have it locked in place. This is better than the others i have seen where it can still be retracted or extended by pulling on it. In this case you have to turn the wand and push or pull.It does not create an issue for security checks at airports. Went through Poland, Germany, Canada, and US with no issues. The handle is a great grip and it is overall a wonderful product designed very well.

The stick is really cool and the material is sturdy how ever it does seem to get stuck sometimes when you are trying to extend it. Over all it’s pretty cool

Almost a great product

Wired smartphone feature doesn’t work. It will trigger the camera to focus but not take the picture. Will be returning the product.

Good but CHEAP!

The stick itself is great. However the supplied strap is worthless! Dont trust it. It broke the second day of use. Wasn’t under any strain even, just hanging from my wrist.

This pole has lasted me 2+ years in the snow, salt water, fresh water and even on a roller coaster! Everything you would expect from a GoPro selfie pole for 1/10th the price!
