Update 12/18/16 - Well, the replacement cable stopped working two days ago. At first I thought it was the KINIVO device but after swapping out the HDMI Cable it became clear it was the Sewell Cable that failed - AGAIN. I swapped it back multiple times to be sure.Update 10/7/16 - Sewell sent a replacement cable and it indeed works. So, three stars. Can’t do more than three given the hassle, etc… They’ve asked me to send back the non-working cable and provided return label - so fair enough.Impressed and appreciative of the excellent and responsive customer service. Let’s see if the cable works over time.—- Previous 1 Star Review:DOA - didn’t work
At first I thought my 1’ cable was not HDCP 2.2 compliant, but it turned out it was. We discovered we needed to also use a HDCP 2.2 compliant cable from our new Dish Hopper to our Yamaha receiver (and into the correct HDMI slot in the back of the Hopper, the one labeled for HDCP 2.2 cables), as all components in system must use the HDCP 2.2 compliant cabling to make the signaling hand-off to work. Maybe 100’ does not work, but 1’ does.
I bought this to extend my HTC Vive headset cable (between the breakout box and HMD) 10 ft into another room. The Vive’s high frame rate and resolution requirements can push an HDMI cable past what it can handle at these lengths. I was relieved to find that it handled the signal just fine, without introducing any artifacts or dropout. It is also fairly flexible, making it ideal for being moved around.
The problem with this cable is that it doesn’t pass all 4K 2.2 data to make some gear (primarily UHD BD’s) work properly. I’ve used the other lengths of these cables including the 25 ft cable and they work fine - but according to various installers I’ve talked to, anything over 25 ft isn’t really supported. My vendor and I were really hoping it would work and it was all the more disappointed when it wouldn’t.I want to recommend using the 25 ft cables or shorter. These cables work flawlessly at those lengths.More info:Sewell Direct quickly reached out to me for specifics in my particular setup and offered a refund if needed. I added a star since their Customer Service is so responsive and concerned.
For the most part I like the design and idea however the cables are mighty stiff to the point of difficult to get the end situated properly to plug in to devices. I attempted to utilize two of these cables with the 4k hdcp passthru switch for PS4pro and PSVR which was nothing short of a nightmare. Individually the cable worked spotty however together they would NOT work with products own switch. I ended up spending a lot of money on not only these cables but others as well, (when the switch of which I’ve tried 2 with a 3rd on the way with simple 2.0 Vizio cables work but audio occasionally flashes and occasional blackouts happen) only to end up with disappointment and frustration. I’m sending back the useless cables but I’m stuck with premium shipping charge another lifes lesson learned I suppose.
Surprisingly It works for me over 30 feet 4k@ 60 chroma 4:4:4 , I have to admit I was a little hesitant, but It actually works for meDevicesSamsung UN65KS8500 connected to ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB ROG STRIX OC Edition**this is the second one I ordered and it works as well with no problem the first one though had the braided part damaged I guess in manufacturing process, to me that simply signifies inadequate QC! btw it comes pretty much in a plastic bag not packaging lucky they included the caps :) had it not been for these I would have been very impressed and a Five star !!!
This HDMI cable does not support HDCP 2.2. It’s not my setup either. I’ve tested a good HDCP 2.2 cable from Best Buy with no problems.
The 50ft light-link cables work as advertised and appear to be constructed of high quality materials. I was able to purchase 2 cables at $90 each and that was a very good value. I’m not sure why they are now selling for $211 right this minute here on amazon when you can get them from sewelldirect for $159. Both cables worked for 4k60+HDR from my Xbox 1S and from my PC to my Samsun KS8000 series TV. I verified that 4:4:4 8bit and 4:2:2 12bit works. I plan on using these cables with my Optoma UHD60 when it shows up in a few days.
works great.
I have a dedicated Theater Room so my components are in a rack system about 35 ft from my 82 Inch 4K UHD HDR TV. The 40 ft cable will not pass 4K 2160p it will pass 1080p.
works perfect between computer & t.v.
Well built, should work for my application.
Awesome cable. Runs HDR 4k great and looks really nice!
it works fine
Works great. Perfect 4K. Cord is very durable.

comments powered by DisqusDo not use if you have high end audio. I need a cheap cable while I ordered some quialty HDMI cables and these things cause so much static with my home surround system.
