Soft-core ball at regulation size and weight
Attach to the glove, throw the regulation size ball and the tension cord pulls the ground ball Trainer back for excellent solo fielding training.
Works really good
Rubber string broke after my 6 year old used it for about two hours in total use over 3 days. Tied the two pieces together so he could keep going but it snapped again 2 more times in the next 10 minutes then went in the trash. Oh well…
I think for the younger (7 year old) the rubber cord is a little long but I think it will all work out in the end.
Great product
My kids, ages 12 and 9, both play baseball/softball. This is a great idea for a way for them to practice fielding grounders without having to have someone else there constantly throwing to them.I was a little concerned that it might snap back too quickly and hit the kids in the face… though learning to watch for that IS part of the idea, I guess… but really, the “string” is plenty long enough that the ball travels back as a grounder without a lot of bounce.Unfortunately, Ohio weather (Snow!) has not yet allowed us to test this product outside within the review time allotted. I’ll update this review when we do use it outside if I see any issues. Our experience so far has been on a carpeted basement floor. And by the way, our Golden Retriever found this to be a fun challenge, too. :)Disclosure: I was provided one free SKLZ Ground Ball Trainer in exchange for posting my honest review here on Amazon via The Vine program. My opinion is always my own regardless of the source of the product.
This ground ball trainer actually works better than I expected. I thought the tether would get in the way. But it works very well. My grandsons are getting into several sports. They play football and they are signing up for baseball as well. So I thought this would be perfect for them to practice with and it is. They like it a lot and it will help them be better players. Absolutely no issues with it so far. Works great.
the word can get in the way a little, and probably not best on cement because its not a hard ball but its been good for indoor use for my little ones without the worry they are going to break something.
this is a very good ground ball trainer, it does require a certain degree of coordination, but it is very helpful for my granddaughter. We have used it in the past two years and needed to replace the set she had (it disappeared at the end of the season). Has held up well with a lot of use. The entire team has used it at one time or another over the season. I got this so she has her own to practice with at home. well worth the investment.
Purchased at Dick’s Sporting Goods. Broke after the first day of my son using it. It broke between the elastic in the string around the ball which is connected by a metal type of…
Broke in the first two days.
I’ve been pretty happy with this. It does the trick and it’s a bit unpredictable with the the ground balls so that’s good.
One of the best ground ball trainers that I have bought! The trainer provides effective practice and improvement.
comments powered by DisqusThis works just like it should. It attaches to your mitt and off you go. Nothing fancy but it works great. We all need practice with grounders and this is a great way to get it.
