I admit I was skeptical, but these work.

After reading mostly good reviews I decided to give these a shot even though I admit I was a tad skeptical. I took my X Star to one of the nearby parks where I’ve had consistent video interference, even complete loss of controller issues after 500, 600 feet - guessing due to trees, lot of Wifi, businesses, cell towers, etc., this item works! I was actually able to fly the X Star with no interference at all for a little over ¹⁄₂ mile. I’m personally thrilled with this since flying in this park was a complete dead zone before. Few other locations I need to try where I’ve had trouble, but so far after this test flight this is a good sign, nice first impression. Extremely easy to apply to the antennas, and remove..they simply slide on and off, not a perfect snug fit, but not so loose where they flop around or spin upside-down while they are on the antennas..it’s good enough for me.

Could use a better build quality but these perform excellent.

Cons: Not as nicely made as some of the offerings for DJI Phantom. These fit a little loose on my antennas.Pros: Definitely increased my reception. Also cut down on interference I was getting while flying near my apartment complex. I was able to push the drone to 3.03 miles! I definitely recommend, at least until something built better comes along. But hey, they are 17 bucks so definitely worth it.

Note these probably only work under perfect conditions and in a direct LoS situation with zero interference factors (trees, etc.) Also not fond of the potentially misleading note that these will improve the video connection – how is that supposed to work unless the range extender was fitted on the drone itself, where the video signal is originating? These aren’t big enough to act like a satellite dish, if that’s the intention.I gave an extra star to compensate for my own ignorance, and another extra star for price and XSP aftermarket support.

Maybe these do work, but I just never got a real level of comfort or confidence from them. Saw no increase in distance, and trying them on multiple drones, it appeared that they caused interference, instead of an increase in range or communication. Sorry, I can’t recommend these, and I will not be buying - or using - them again.

No difference in performance..I’m experienced in drones ..Put this product thru several tests and it did nothing to enhance performance..

Great for the price!

What can I say they work! Increased my average rang from a half mile to 1.5 to 3.21 miles. To get the 3 miles you have to keep the ant. pointed at the drone.
