EXACTLY what I wanted

Man, I so wish I had this on my last trip! But it will be here for all of my future trips. Clamp is really good quality and the spring is pretty stiff so not at all worried about slippage. The gooseneck is actually a bit thicker than it appears in the photos but that’s ok because I was concerned that my Hero 5 would stay in place, now I have zero concerns. The adjustable end is really my only long term concern. It doesn’t seem to have the same build quality as the rest of the product has, but at the same time I have had no issues with it, but in the long run I am expecting if anything gives out from wear and tear, it will be this plastic part of the build. The cost was not outlandish so even if I get a few trips worth of usage I will be very pleased with the product.

Quality accessory at half of the price!

Purchased this as an alternate GoPro mount. The clamp is tight and the adjustable arm piece seems very sturdy. I have not put it through any major testing as of yet, but it seems it will hold up. I’ll update this review if I find the quality is lacking.As with most Smatree products, the quality is as high, if not higher, than GoPro branded products, at half of the price. I am very pleased with this particular piece and plan to purchase more products from Smatree to use with the camera.

Very strong clamp, Flexible arm fairly strong

I bought this to use with my TOLIFO Photo Studio 176 LED Camera Light.It screws into the camera light with no problems.The flexible neck is rather rigid, which is good for holding the light in place.The clamp is very strong so it stays attached to whatever I clip it too without sliding off.

My second one!

My first one lasted about 2 years and it still can work, the internal cable snapped at the base but it is still kinda useable, so I bought another one because my last was great and I used it all the time so it was definitely well worn.

Perfect for Vive Lighthouse

This clamp mount has been used to hold an HTC Vive Lighthouse sensor, which seems like it would be well over the weight intended to use on this mount. Not only has it held up over months of use mounted vertically (as advertised), but it also seems to be able to maintain the weight with the clamp mounted sideways with some adjusting of the weight distribution on the handle. Very impressed!

Not quite perfect, but impressive.

The arms are STRONG! Works well, but the clip jaws are too wide, and they don’t have a traction coating on the material behind the ends of the jaws, so if you grab onto a pipe, the smooth part holds it, and the ends of the jaws remain open. Without some kind of traction coating, the whole device can spin around from the weight of the camera.

A great tool for getting great shots.

This is one of my favorite purchases for my GoPro camera! I clamp it to my Kayak, my bike, stop signs, rails, trees, and anything else I can get next to to get shots. It’s flexible, but holds the camera steady, and if your looking to be creative with your camerawork i couldn’t suggest this tool high enough.

These are great for the Vive

These are awesome for the Vive Lighthouses. I loop the neck around once to give a more stable (which is not even needed) hold for the lighthouse. I have left these clamped to a door setup with a lighthouse for weeks and I have not had to once re-calibrate them. Only time I have to re-calibrate is when I move the lighthouse itself . These have not had any issues with stability as long as what you clamp these to is stable. Highly recommend them for the Vive
