I did a lot of comparing between Smatree and Wasabi. I initially was going to go with Wasabi and then Smatree came out with these new Lithium Polymer batteries (old ones had red Smatree logo on them). I decided to grab an extra 2 pack to go along with the 2 pack & charger kit I ordered. I have charged them and used them and they charge just as quickly as the originals and they last just as long (within seconds of each other). Other batteries were dying a few minutes before the OEM ones, which still isn’t bad. These were just so competitively prices that is made sense to grab these. They do fit a little snug in the GoPro compared to the OEM, but that’s going to be the case with any of the aftermarket batteries. I would highly recommend you try these and the money you save will get you some more accessories for your camera rig.
Great replacement batteries.
FYI, at the time I purchased these the product description/title was incorrect, - 1 star for that. These are most definitely for the GoPro 3 and 3+ only. Description states for the 4, which is an entirely different design. I needed replacement Smatree batteries, and already had the charger. I took a chance and ordered based on the picture. Hopefully seller will fix the error upon reading this. Anyhow, these work fine. I don’t necessarily see increased run time, but at less than half the cost of GoPro branded batteries, I can’t complain.
Just as good as the gopro batteries.
These batteries work just as good as the original gopro batteries. One of them does fit a little snug in the camera. I actually accidentally washed one in the washer after forgetting to pull it out of my shorts pocket. After letting it dry off for 2 days, I put it in my gopro to see if it still worked and it was just fine.
The only good alternative to OEM GoPro brand
For the price, excellent. The batteries fit properly, take a full charge, and after 6 months of use, are still going strong; every bit as strong as the OEM Go Pro batteries… all are things that I can’t say for other 3rd-party batteries I’ve tried.

One defective battery, but still excellent product.
Batteries arrived and worked great….. Until the second time I charged them. One of them became very deformed and bloated. I threw it away. The one I have left still works great. I was using a gopro dual charger and a gopro cable when the incident happened. I just think it was a freak defective battery because I would buy these again in a heart beat. Rating is only for this particular purchase.
