Not just the GoPro

I got this mount to use with a Nabi Square HD action camera. I found the part the makes up the hinge on the parts that came with the Nabi was a bit to fat to fit into the hinge side of this mount ( where the top screw is on the picture) but a little sanding on the Nabi part I was good to go. I used this to mount to the windshield of our tour bus on a trip to Israel. The suction cup held firm and after getting the camera settings right the result was some excellent footage through the streets of Jerusalem. I can’t say how well it would hold on the hood or outside surface of your car or truck door but the “through the windshield” mounting was easy and allowed for a variety of angles.

Attention all OtterBox owners!

When I got my first OtterBox back in the day I knew I wasn’t going to use the belt clip phone holder and since I used my phone for GPS instead of my TomTom I Zapp screwed the belt clip to my old TomTom windshield mount. Well the suction cup finally went so flat that it wouldn’t suction anymore so I bought this to zap screw to my OtterBox belt clip. To my glorious surprise the GoPro Mount clipped on to the OtterBox belt clip perfectly! It’s very solid and a well-made suction mount.

Bigger than expected but solid and good features

Documentation inside shows through Hero 3 but works perfectly with my Hero 4, as expected. (The product description is accurate, just the note inside the box doesn’t say Hero 4) This unit is slightly larger than I was expecting but it’s solid. I was pleased to find that the main pivot next to the suction cup has detents that click slightly when the screw is loosened and the arm is moved. This is important for me because I’m using this mount for time lapse and want the camera to have the exact same position should I need to rotate it away from the glass to remove the microSD or swap the battery. With this mount and the open frame mount I use with the camera, I know exactly how many clicks to rotate out then back into position later. No guessing and I can leave the suction mount in place and still have the exact same position. Thanks.

Does not adjust in every direction.

This mount has a fixed rotation under the camera mount, where some units will not only tilt, but also rotate there. This limits the usefulness for me, where I am mounting the camera to a side wall in the pool and I need to adjust the mount in a direction it cannot be adjusted.

this thing is awesome. super sturdy! mounted it to a car for a photo shoot. held on backroads, bumps, why speeds etc. only fell off once on a dirty car during a drift. so, i can’t complain. make sure to clean the surface and i found that a little wax spray car cleaner helps hold it a litter stronger. 5 stars!

Better than the more expensive rigs from GoPro and RAM

This is a gem. I use it to hold my MUIVI HD action cam largely behind my rear view mirror. The suction cup goes on the perimeter of those dots around the rear view mirror that are so common in vehicles that are sold these days. Unfortunately, suction cups don’t stay on for very long on those dots.This is the perfect solution which:➔ Puts the camera in a spot where it’s not blocking your view.➔ Puts the suction cup where it’ll stick.➔ Suction stays on!At only $10 bucks, I couldn’t resist giving it a try. I’m glad I did.

Adjustable, sticks wherever a suction cup could stick.

I got this to use my gopro as a dash cam while I was driving around out of state. It works well and does not detach from my windshield by itself. The arms are pretty long and it could be a bit tricky to position it correctly but it also lets you tilt and rotate to your liking.Works great, you could probably stick it to other things as well to get a more unique recording angle. I’d imagine you could stick it to the body of your car. Just keep in mind that it is only a suction cup. There is no adhesive so mount to the outside only at your own risk. It can still hit something and fall off.Did what it was bought to do.

Can’t actually hold a gopro

Put in on my car and it fell off along with my GoPro. Put it in my car it fell off again. The suction won’t hold it up for more than 30 seconds stationary on a window. Weird item with no practical use being with gopros. Don’t purchase it and if people ask I’ll make a video but I bought it to hold a GoPro and it can’t even stay stationary to do anything.

Works great.

It wasn’t exactly what I thought it was, but with some minor tweaking and adjustments it ended up working nearly perfectly for what I was going to use it for. Overall a good buy. .
