Excellent sound quality .Easy to set up

because I owned Bose products before and loved it. However

If you are deciding between Sonos playbase/playbar vs. Bose 300, go with Sonos!I first bought the whole set of Bose, including Bose soundtouch 300, 300 wireless sub, and 300 wireless surround speaker, because I owned Bose products before and loved it. However, the whole bose set really disappointed me because of it’s quite cumbersome to set up the product, and the remote is extremely difficult to use. Most importantly, the Bose system didn’t have stable connection and doesn’t sound as good as they are in the store. Plus those 2 surround speakers are completely garbage and are not worthy that price. Therefore I decided to return the whole Bose set.Then I instead went to Sonos, bought the playbase, the sub, and a pair of play:1. The installation cost much less time than Bose, and I love the fact that Sonos ditched the idea of remote and allows you to completely control the system just using the app. The sound quality is fantastic for both movies and music, especially for music. Having the Play1 as the surround speaker is an excellent decision that Sonos made, because those speakers are excellent in both sound quality and design. We all loved the Sonos system and are very happy with the purchase.

Sonos, if you are thinking about it. Buy it.

There was a problem on the front end with getting the playbase on wifi without it being wired to the router. Once I plugged into the router and got the setup completed I unhooked from the router and put it in the entertainment center below my TV. I completed the wireless setup, no you don’t have to have the unit plugged to your router for use with the subwoofer and external speakers. The unit sounds great and I definately recommend the playbase, woofer and play 1’s. Great sound for me and I am completely satisfied. The only change I would make is to change the app where you plug the playbase to the router as the 1st option in the setup.I compared the Bose Soundtouch 300 and Sonos. Sonos had more clarity for me. Bose is still a great sound just thought the Sonos had a little more clarity and the bass was not as strong, which I prefer.

I can’t say enough about these speakers and the Sonos system. I absolutely love every aspect. This is one of those things where if someone broke into my house and stole my system I would go right out and buy another immediately. These surround sound speakers are awesome and so controllable. Sounds great at low or high volumes. Easy to set up and easy to use. If I could give 10 stars on my Sonos system I would!!!!
