I bought these mounts for my SONOS Play 1 speakers I was using for surrounds in conjunction with a SONOS Playbar. The brackets are great quality, thick, strong solid plastic.The #1 reason I purchased these was so that I am able to remove the speakers from the wall easily and move them to other rooms in the house. As fans of SONOS know, speakers and be quickly un-grouped and play music from multiple sources. The wireless nature of them allow them to be easily moved around the house. I use my Play 1’s as outdoor speakers during parties and gatherings, keeping the Playbar in the house for TV sound or a second source of music. It surprised me how few manufacturers thought of this when designing wall mounts. With this mount YOU CAN DO THAT which is super awesome.My only gripe with this mount is that the threaded stud that threads into the SONOS is about ⁹⁄₁₆” too long. The speakers hang too far off the wall, this leverage makes them wobble a bit. Take the stud and mount it in a vice, thread a ¹⁄₄” die over the stud and use a cutoff wheel to cut it down .5”-.5625”. Run the die back off the stud to clean the threads up and it will be perfect.

Attaches very securely to the speaker and to the wall, but you really have to torque the plastic knob down hard if you are holding the speaker out or at an odd angle, which can be hard since you are cupping your hand around the stem. Once I got them in position I haven’t had to mess with them again, however.

I was a little skeptical about the “ball and socket” …

I was a little skeptical about the “ball and socket” holding the Play 1 in position without sagging. It’s been up a few weeks and hasn’t moved. It sticks out from the wall a little further than expected but you want a little space between the wall and speakers anyway so that’s not really a problem. I’d buy it again.
