Add to your Sonos system for amazing room-filling, deep bass sound. Connects wirelessly to Sonos speakers. Works with PLAY:1, PLAY:3, PLAY:5, PLAYBAR and CONNECT:AMP. Place it anywhere in the room, even lying flat under a couch. Two force-cancelling speakers positioned face-to-face offer deep sound with zero cabinet buzz.
Earth shattering lows without rattle, as advertised.Easy to configure / add to an existing Sonos center channel.I really like the ease of placement, since there are no wires or cables to run, other than to a power outlet. The only negative is the price: $700 is a bit stiff considering (if you like wires) a decent receiver / sub combo would be a couple hundred dollars less, but now that we own it, well…we really like it!
I just got into SONOS recently I started off with 2 play1s, and Im not a audiophile, but I do like quality products. The design os this sub is like no other, bass is tight, deep and accurate through all frequencies. Price is a little steep but I believe it was worth the extra expense. Watching movies is where I believe this sub performs at its best. Unbelievable this little unit puts out such quality bass. I use it everyday.
Been a Sonos fan for years, just added this and 2 Play 1 speakers for surround sound. Sub works fantastically, on pricey side but for not have to run cables/speaker wire worth every penny.
Excellent sub! I purchased this with the Sonos sound bar, along with 2 play 1’s, for an outstanding sound experience with my TV. Easy to set up, easy to control, only need one remote know for volume on my set. The sub delivers great sound, you can feel he bass, with no boominess. Very pleased.
I bought both the playbar and sub through AMAZON from AUDIOPLUS. They were like new and came in the original packages. Units were purchased for use in INDIA. For transporting the playbar I also bought Stansport 1206 duffel (50 inches) to enclose the original package. They were carried through BRITISH AIRWAYS and can be done without paying extra baggage costs. Both the units turned on when used in 220 volts and I preferred using my laptop to link them to high speed wifi provided by ACT fiberlink. Connected to LG TV through optical cable, the play bar and sub turned ON without any difficulty. The sound is absolutely astounding, well dispersed for 3.1 and very well balanced base. I also used it for streaming music. thro my cell phone. The major setback is software will not recognize music folders. Songs will have to be queued to play in the order you wish. It is a painful task. Music reproduction is superb both for Indian classical and popular music. The major setback for using SONOS in India is that SONOS do not have service facility. I expect that many units are being used in India. SONOS must at least facilitate shipping of units to SINGAPORE if a service is required. BOSE on the other hand has full fledged service facilities in India. I have been owning high end BOSE systems. I am amazed at the quality of sound that SONOS system is capable.
So happy I finally took the plunge to add the Sonos Sub to my system. For years I had a Sub connected to my standard stereo. Once I bought the sound bar for my TV I found I rarely used my stereo. I played music through the sound bar instead. I did though, miss the base. The Sonos Sub easily connected to my Sonos system and to the sound bar.I’ve been a Sonos user since the very beginning, I love this product and the quality. Yes the price can be a bit much to swallow but you can count on the quality. Sonos simply works all the time, very happy.
WOW - I knew this was expensive and got lucky with the $100 off sale. Still expensive but all the reviews said it was worth it - and they are TRUE. Granted, I am a Sonos poster-boy (no I don’t work for them or get paid by them). I started with the Play 3 years ago, then another to get stereo sound. Then a Play 1 for the bedroom, then another for my son’s room. Oh, then the Connect Amp to power some outdoor speakers, then a Playbar and 2 more Play 1’s for the main TV, then another Connect Amp to power some in-ceiling speakers in the basement. The Sub was the last thing I needed - and boy does it sound great, and make the Playbar and Play 1’s sound better. I don’t even want to think how much I have spent in Sonos equipment - just than it is terrific and to play all my music from my phone (app) - different songs in each room or group rooms for party. It is wonderful.
Awesome! Combined with the TrueTune app inside the Sonos app the sound is perfect after 5 minutes of set up.
This adds real bass to my Sonos setup.
This sub adds so much enjoyment to music and TV watching. I’ve listened to albums I’ve heard dozens of times before and now find it to be an all together different and more…
I have not wanted to get into Sonos systems and finally purchased a play 3 at an auction. By the end of the next day, I had a play 5 and amp.
very happy with this sub. i’m a bose person, so switching to sonos was a big step. i like the wi-fi feature and being able to play from anywhere in the house.
Pricey but well worth it
Picked this up a few months ago. Kicking myself slightly as I should have waited a little longer for Sonos to have their $100 off sale.
Wifey brought this for my father’s day she knew I was looking at it. WOW great I have a Play5 with the sub makes the Play sound even better.
I wanted to love it - I definitely like it and it adds a noticeable bottom end to music with a lot of modern bass like trance, house, rap, etc.
Not sure why people rate this Sub so well. The bass is good, but definitely not as smooth as some other Subs, including Bose Sub, its very overwhelming and uncomfortable to the…
