Was hoping for more

We went name brand on this one even though there are alternatives at a fraction of the price. I work for a church and we use this every sunday during our service to project our communicator on a large screen. This product does make it easir for some of our newer camera operators to adjust zoom while being able to keep the shot framed and steady.Pros:- I like the zoom speed control:Fast, med, slow. Usually keep on slow for a nice life zoom in/out- Works great with our sony cam and seems like it would fit well on any tripod handle while being small yet very easy to use zoom function with your thumb.Cons:- For both the zoom and focus functions there is a slight delay, both to make the adjustment and also after you release the physical controls. The slowest setting on the zoom control is still not ideally smooth enough for live production. The focus control is pretty rough as well, you can not get near the precision of adjusting it by hand.My advice is try a off brand one first, if it is decent then keep it. I just don’t think this is worth the extra $$$$$ just because it says Sony on it, I expected much more for the price.
