Legit Sony battery. Works for my A7SII and I can’t complain.As far as some knock offs I’ve used in the past to save money (They work but to a certain extent).When you shoot high speed or 4k some of them over heat and wont work.So it’s better to spend a little extra and get the product that works. Rather than go the cheaper route and make a mistake.

An essential purchase

If you need this size of battery there isn’t much point in worrying about the star rating. It does the job, although my original battery is older and still outperforms this one. In fairness, I expect a lot from this battery as I’ll take 40-60 photos in an hour and all require the use of the camera’s flash. It would be a conservative estimate to state these batteries have supplied power for in excess of 10,000 photos.

I have problems with my batteries since I used two …

I have problems with my batteries since I used two in a grip. Sometimes I received a message telling me that the battery is exhausted, even though, the two batteries are full. Then I put one at the time in the grip and they work perfectly. The other message I received is the the battery is not original.I bought two extra batteries, one in B&H and one in Amazon, the other one came with my camera.

I had this one for only a couple of months but the original lasted 4 yearsrevised review 1/29/2016After a few more months of use I have to downgrade my initial review. The battery carries all the identifiers for a SONY product, however it’s performance is nowhere near the original. With the original I could shoot close 600 large format per full charge. My estimate is that with this battery I could get roughly half that. It maybe some old stock laying around the warehouse.

5-stars in the sense that it does exactly what it was intended to.

It’s a battery. Yay. It’s nice having a backup for long shoots while the other battery is charging.I have read several reviews where individuals claim they received a counterfeit battery. What I received from Beach Camera.com does not appear to be a counterfeit; if it is, it’s a darn good fake. It came well-packaged with the Sony hologram, the label on the back matches my current battery which came with the camera perfectly. The only difference I could find is what I assume is a batch number marking on the back. It was recognized by the charger and immediately by the camera. So, I’m pleased with it.What else is there to say? It’s a battery. Yay.

Great Sony Battery

I use this battery on a Sony NEX-C3 camera. The battery has worked flawlessly since day one and the camera recognizes the battery without any issues. The battery charges as fast as the one that came with the camera and lasts as long (approx. 350 to 400 shots per charge without flash and approx. 250 to 300 shots with constant use of flash).I will update the review later if this changes.

Not the same as original Sony battery

Although advertised as a Sony replacement battery, this unit is clearly not the same as what came with the camera. I bought two batteries with the camera and still have one of them. The original battery has noticeably more heft than does this replacement battery.

Good Sony quality

Expensive but high quality batteries. I wish they were a bit larger in capacity and usually 2-3 are needed for spares.

Don’t last long enough for video, so buy multiples

These batteries don’t last long enough. I shoot video on the Sony a7s2, and one of these lasts about 45 mins. It’s okay for photographers, but for video it’s a real pain.
