The bracket made it very easy to mount the TV on the wall

The bracket made it very easy to mount the TV on the wall. I have the 75” and need two people to hang it. The package come in 3 different sizes of hanging frame which is a waste because only one attaching bracket is provided. One star is being deducted.

Well thought out mounting package. Now if Sony can get their install video on their website to match what their pdf installation sheet… The solid wall mount is not used for sheet rock/stud installation and had a hard time getting Sony customer service to comprehending this and had to go out of my way repeating 3 times their own manual with part and page number…. Top it off they’ll probably not take the video down and confuse customers who don’t know better…

This is specifically designed for these particular Sony TVs. It is a great, low profile mount, that makes it hang like a picture. We love it

XBR65X930D 65-Inch and the Sony Wall Mount

Negative: I wanted to use the longer mount to utilize the studs, but the longer mount seemed to bend under any weight I put on it, and the screws that came with the mount easily stripped (yes I drilled pilot holes). So i patched the holes and started over using the smaller mount.Negative: The smaller mount has no adjustment, so you better be right on with your level (no forgiveness here), and I didn’t trust the strength of the Sheetrock, so punched through the sheet rock in the media closet behind the mount, Reinforced it with a short 2 x 12, then attached the small mount with locking bolts.Positive: The medium sized attachment fit perfectly into my XBR65X930D (screws in very securely), and the end result is exactly what I wanted: A hanging picture affect for my TV. The TV is very secure, very close to the wall, and can be pulled forward at the bottom to access the cords.Summary: Though I had two negatives to one positive, the final result was amazing, I absolutely love how close the TV mounts to the wall, so i gave it 4 (almost a 5).

A no brainer choice when buying the Sony TVs this is custom made for. You’ll just need some patience to get the wiring installed in the wall behind the mount because the TV literally hangs flush against the wall. The TV literally looks hung like a picture.

Perfect! But make sure you plan ahead for the wires and are willing to put in the work.

I do genuinely love this mount. It is perfect if you have purchased a X930 or X940D, and if you have those two TV’s i genuinely wouldn’t recommend anything else.
