Does not work on newer Sony cameras.

Sorry Sony, you probably did not realize all your newer cameras no longer work for those like me that that have customer length controllers, that allows me to have multiple sony cameras remotely controlled in a control room for streaming events. Was bumbed out when this adapter did not do the job. Purchased the newer wire controller, but while it works when directly connected it still does not help me for connecting and controlling the zoom on the camera 300 feet away in another room.I’ll have to look at saving up and buying more expensive cameras, or buying as many of the models that still work on ebay.

Works properly, but I should not have to pay $25 for one!

Too expensive for a unit you have to use with a newer style camera. You have to have this unit to make the Sony Camcorder remote work on newer cameras. I think Sony should either step up and revise the remote to have the correct plug to fit the newer plug style, or offer this at a cheaper price point. I think $12 would have been fair - $25 is too much.

Does not work on Sony FDR-AX55

This works the way it described. Now I can control recording, zoom, etc.. on my Sony PXW-X70 .UPDATED 03/03/2017. I reduced the stars down to three due to that It does not work on Sony FDR-AX55. Good question for Sony to answer.

Does not work with newer camers

Does not work with 2014 or newer Somy Handycams. Somy disabled the multi port to work with this adapter for some reason.

Don’t buy for new camera

Simply doesn’t work with HDR-CX455 and I need to return. Very disappointing!!! Sony, customer relationship and protect my investment in Sony accessories is not your strength, right?

Like maybe 3-times in 10 years

It works with my LANC Controller. Can’t believe how frequently Sony has changed these damn connectors. Like maybe 3-times in 10 years?
