If you land on a Slide you can zip to the end and bump your opponents’ pawns – or your own! Jump over pawns and hide in your Safety zone while getting powers with the 2 power-up tokens. Amazon.com This classic game of luck, strategy, and determination is easy to grasp for children as young as 6 years old, yet it’s fun for adults and older siblings too. By drawing cards, players move their game pieces around the board, hoping to eventually accumulate all their pieces at the final destination–home sweet home. Sorry is known as the game of “sweet revenge,” since players can send each other’s pawns back to the starting line, thus forcing one another to lose ground and begin all over again. This kind of frustration may be hard for children under age 8 to handle. In fact, young ones typically crumble into tears of outrage when their pawns are cavalierly sent back. The only recourse is to teach children how to plot their own revenge, which makes them feel as powerful as superheroes.

Very disappointed. Said it was the classic game and it is a newer version with new parts and only 3 pawns. Ordered it for my elderly mother and she hasn’t been able to use it because of all the changes that have been made to the game.
It is the same board and name, but this is not the same game you might have played as a child. You draw cards with numbers in this version (that definitely helps with travel situations), and the numbers range from one to six.As in the old version, landing on another player sends his or her piece backward. The objective is still to get all of your pieces to the base by an exact count. If you draw a one or two, you engage the blue ring (ice) or red ring (fire) effects. The blue freezes the piece and prevents from either moving or being effected by other pieces. Red adds to movement effects.
This is NOT the original game. It only has 3 game pieces for each player i.e. 3 red pieces, 3 blue pieces, etc. and there are some weird cardboard discs that no one could figure out how to use. I see it says “2013 Edition” so I guess that it is my bad I didn’t consider this had so many changes to the game. If you are looking for original Sorry this is not it.Otherwise the board is pretty and the package arrived clean and in good condition.
This classic game a a new option for Fire and Ice Power Ups that we have yet to try, but not using them does not harm the classic game play of the original. This is a must for any household with children after they learn how to count.
My kids like the game, the price was right, and their friends all seem to know how to play it.The rules are simple enough to learn if one wants, and that doesn’t include me. Fire and ice rules make it different than it used to be.
My kids love it, it’s exactly how I remember playing all those years ago as a kid. Pretty easy to understand, my 5 year old can play but needs a little help and guidance. My 9 year old is ruthless lol! All in all a great game for family game night :) we don’t use the fire and ice pieces, to be honest I didn’t even realize they came with this set. I have kids ages 5, 7, & 9 so we ignored that extra set of rules for the moment.
Overall a fun game but the board tore easily (and no other board game has done this so we’re certain we weren’t too rough with it!). We were distracted by the “fire” and “ice” add-on pieces and the instructions around these seemed confusing so we just skip those parts and played old school - the problem is that some of the cards reference fire/ice so we had to manage that. Wish we had just bought a regular Sorry vs this “fancier” version!
This game is for a maximum of 4 players so if need more than 4 this isn’t for you. Fun game! My 6 yr old grand-daughter and I play it all the time. I think there is another game for 6 players and this is not it.
Smaller version of the game. Instructions to use fire and ice are not clear. How long are hey in play? For the rest of the game? If another card is pulled
Good game
good game me and my 5 years old boy are playing this all the time even those i am not sure if understand how the fire and the ice work, but we are have great time together playing…
odd version of game. can play like normal.
This game has brought my family together, we play all the time. there are some rules that are not specified in the instructions so we ended up doing our own rules and conclusions…
