Good for Scuba Maps and Slates

Got these to use while scuba diving, for attaching my maps and slates to my BCD. This way I can pull on them to view then let go and they will stay close. Worked very well for the 5 dives I have used them on. Only thought is shorter would probably have been a little better as they stretch pretty far about 2 feet I think. I just looped a few coils through the carabiner to shorten it up and that worked well.

Great!

These are great little tools! We use them on our kayaks to secure drink bottles, sponges and various other items that we don’t want to lose should we have an unplanned out-of-boat experience. The fact that they come with small carabiners is a plus over some other lanyards out there. They have a reasonable stretch and recoil to a tiny little thing. I haven’t noticed any loss of rebound after weeks of heavy use this summer. The first time we used them was on a 7 day, 103 mile kayak trip and we were extremely pleased!

Great item once it has a few modifications

This feels strong to me and if the wire crimps ever fail then I’ll just buy new ones and easily fix it. The wire crimps that are on it right now I put in my vise and made sure they were nice and tight.I put a fishing split ring size 5 on one end and I attached to that split ring a Mcgizmo clip, through the hole of the Mcgizmo clip.On the other end I attached a key ring. And I attached a split ring and a Mcgizmo clip to all of my key ring tools and to my car keys. And this way I can easily clip and un-clip the Mcgizmo clip that are attached to the key ring.I then attached the end with just the single fishing split ring and mcgizmo clip to my jackets pocket zipper pull and this way I can put the whole thing in my pocket and grab it out when I need it.Here are the items it took to make it.Look these things up.- DACHMA® 1.2 Inch Length Quick Release Keychain Black Small Spring Clip Lock Carabiner Hook for Outdoor Hiking 10 Pcs- Fishing split rings, size 5These are the tools I have attached to it so far.- Stainless steel Valiant Concepts pen.- Stainless steel peanut lighter from the county comm online store.- Fox 40 whistle, sonic blast.- Small nail clippers with a tiny piece of rubber tubing slipped over the clippers to keep the metal that you squeeze to stay in place.- Philips and regular screw driver key ring tools.- 3 inch mini pry bar tool.- Leatherman squirt ps4

Wish they were longer

I bought several different offerings of “stretchy lanyards” and this is the best of the bunch. The stainless steel cable is certainly rugged, the coil is tight and seems to remember well, and the coating seems adequate. Even the mini carabineers are of decent quality. For my purpose they were a little short, about 28” max extension, so I have joined 2 together.

Cheap and works

It isn’t exceptionally strong but it does a decent job. I use it for tethering a dslr underwater to a chest harness. It’s solid enough not to get cut up on rocks etc or break too easily but I haven’t put much stress on it. So far so good, build quality is good. The beaners don’t look like the greatest design, but for the price they are easy to swap out for something stronger if needed.

A great gadget!

I Bought four of these tether coily plastic strings for my pair of fishing pliers and to have a few to spare. I am very pleased to recommend them for keeping a tool handy and on your belt or in your pocket on your person generally

My husband thought these were perfect for his keys so he no longer left them …

My husband thought these were perfect for his keys so he no longer left them in the door of his work truck.

The coil is nice and it does a good job however

The coil is nice and it does a good job however, the carabiners are extremely week and bend easily. Just replace them with something stronger.
