It’s a serial cable. It moves bits from one place to,another place up to six feet away and delivers them in order. You know, serially.
Using it for a console connection to a Brocade Foundry switch.
Using is as a console cable for a Brocade Foundry switch I bought used. I only had Cisco console cables around and Brocade takes a straight-thru 9 pin. I used the same hyperterm settings as I use on my Cisco switches and with this cable the console on the Foundry came right up.

What more can you say. It works like expected. The cable didn’t appear to be cheaply made and all hardware interfaced using the cable worked perfectly.
