I hesitate before purchasing this, cuz some review mentioned about connection issue. Since it’s a OEM product, which should be something major concern about. However not much other OEM options that I find. So I decide to give a try. And I like itPros: the initial connection between control n camera took a little time. I am never a person want to read the instruction, so the connection was not going thru. After I read the instruction, the remote control connected right away. So! Don’t skip, read the instructions! The two bottom on the control works just like how the bottom works on the camera. So once it connected, everything went smooth. I was able to take shot, record video and change settings over the remote. And also able to turn the camera off and on. as long as the Bluetooth is still on with the camera, remote control is able to turn the camera back on. The remote control makes much easier if you have the camera sit somewhere to take for shot, no need to walk back n forth.Con: the strap came with the remote is not as nice as I expected! I’ll say, just ok to use. It is sturdy, but the liner quality could improve a little bit.Over all, I am happy with the quality of the remote, and the price is reasonable!

Easy to pair and operate

This is an easy to us to pair third party remote works well with my go pro hero 4 black. The remote is extremely easy to pair with the camera and eliminates the need of app to initiate recording or changing configuration / settings when the camera is placed in not handy positionsThe remote mimics the Hero black’s on screen buttons / LCD display well and you can change all the settings that you can do via the hero through this remote. The only downside is that you need to keep the wifi on your gopro always on which has a small degradation on the battery. The charging cable is proprietary (and not standard micro USB). The charging cable is same as the OEM gopro remote so if you have that, you should be good.
