Good idea, with a bit of a design flaw.

My 9 year old wanted military items for his birthday. This hat was a perfect choice. It fits nicely and would fit an adult as well. It has webbing inside that is adjustable. It looks very realistic and is great for dress up, halloween, or paintball. One part that was not a hit are the little metal tabs that are on elastic connected to the outer cover. They look like they are supposed to attach to the webbing inside, but won’t stretch that far. I didn’t notice until now, but you can actually see them hanging down in this photo. There are several of them hanging around the helmet and my son got really upset about them and said they were hurting him. I tried attaching them and couldn’t, so I just cut them off and the cover seems to stay in place just fine. I had to give it a 3 stars because of those. They could have made the elastic a little longer so they were functional or left them off entirely.

Ok Helmet, poor stitching quality; disappointed in AMZN

The helmet was purchased as a gift for a young boy with a vivid imagination. It was delivered wrapped in bubble wrap inside the primary shipping box. Helmet It is heavier and thicker than I thought it would be, fairly sturdy, no apparent flex. The Camo cover looks good, fits well. The headliner/strap system is designed ok, BUT manufactured poorly - it is mostly nylon webbing, but several areas werenoticeably fraying and/or completely separated (see picture). Order was “fulfilled by Amazon”,which is why I’m disappointed - the AMZN picker/packer never even looked at the item before they shipped it - it is SO obvious, especially since they had to handle the unit to wrap it in bubble wrap (Maybe they purposely did it to get rid of damaged inventory betting people won’t bother to return it…)… I never used to have problems with Amazon, but this is the 4th item in the past year that my family has been received defective or damaged.

Poor quality but decent price.

The helmet is ok BUT the material it’s made of should be better so that it doesn’t rust so fast. They should use a better quality paint that will not allow rust to appear quickly and the cheap metal they used for the clips. I actually sent one back for replacement and the second one was only a little better. We are going to paint it with rust proofing.. Other than that , the price was ok.

Great fitting helmet for tween size

Great helmet. This one fits my TWEEN son pretty well for his costume (He is 5’3 and 104 lbs). Not using for anything other than costume, so can’t comment on effectiveness for paintball usage, etc.
