Install data: 1.You need a 11.8 inches of space under the cabinet when it is retracted 2.Drill a a hole about 3.25’’±0.1’’ (8.25±2cm) diameter on the counter 3.The power strip with a power cord in the length of 75 inches
Use direction: 1.Once you push down, the top will pop up about an inch, then you physically pull the unit up to expose the outlets then you can plug in 2.When the charging is done, you can push the socket down, the top will be lying flat with the desk surface, just left you a clean and tidy desk’s suface
Great! Easy to install. These are not pop ups, you have to pull them up and push them down. The big question is the size of the hole that has to be drilled thru the granite: my was 3.25 inches. Provides three electrical plugs and two USB plugs. Provides clean lines for the counter when not in use.
I bought these a while back, but only installed them recently. I’m using two of them in a solid wood topped-desk. I used a 3 1⁄4” hole saw bit to put holes into the wood top, although it appears that a 3 3⁄16” bit would have worked (had I had one – far more rare than a 3 1⁄4”). The item appears to be 3 silver disks, with the middle one being a bit over an inch wide, the second (medium) one around that being about three inches wide, and the outside (largest) one being about four inches wide. To open the power receptacle, one pushes the middle (medium sized) disk down, which is spring-loaded, allowing it do depress about one inch. That in turn exposes the center (small) disk, which is a handle used to pull the receptacle up and out of the desk (or the countertop, or whatever it’s mounted on). As it pulls up, the USB ports are exposed first, and then the three 3-pronged power outlets. (All of the outlets, including the USB, are powered by a single 3-pronged cord that comes out of the bottom of the receptacle, i.e. hidden under the desk or countertop.)So, why not 5 stars for such a clever solution? One word: Plastic. The silver bits are all plastic, and the black bits are all plastic. Not horribly chintzy plastic, but still plastic. When you’re paying thousands of dollars for a countertop, or a desk for that matter, cutting a hole in it to stick in a plastic doohickey just seems wrong. The product just doesn’t reek of quality. It’s not horrible, but it’s not something that inspires confidence either.Note: My product came from the seller “LeopardKing”.
so far so good, installed in kitchen, plugged into GFI’s for safety. My contractor is pessimistic about their longevity and expects they will break, they are mostly plastic, they are not pop up - they are pull up. They are the look I was after, time will tell if they hold up to daily use, daily up and down.
I brought these a few weeks ago wanting to put on a desk downstairs or in my son’s room but I still have not purchased the desk yet. I’ve been using it in the living room for the time being. It is not properly installed but the functions still works so I am pretty happy with it. There is a hole on my entertainment center so I have it in there and I am able to pull up to expose the outlets and push down to hide with no issues. It has three outlets and two USB. These are usually in use when I have a party and people need to charge their phones. lol!
I bought two of these for a table I was building for behind my couch. They’ve since been installed and they work wonderfully!
Looks great.
Ordered 3. First one I opened was fine. Weeks later opened 2 & 3. 2 was broken and 3 was used and scratched up. Inside of box had writing on it about hole size.
Talk about a slick gadget for the new kitchen!
They worked great,thanks
Material wasn’t what i expected but still a good buy
Cheap and plastic
You get what you pay for. Plastic is not the way to go if you are using it on a daily basis. I installed it in my RV and it works great. Very handy on a small area counter top.
Spring does not work, does not slide up easily…. really have to yank on it. Very cheaply made
This is so handy in my island. I use it every day.
this things sucks D’s for dollaz
Clever design. Works great and easy to install. It is plastic mostly so it is not as sturdy as I’d like but I love the design.
These do the job perfectly and reasonably priced
